Tsunami was slightly proud of herself at the moment. She had lumbered in from the outskirts of the pack territory for the first time, and all on her own. And wouldn't you know it, she landed exactly where she wanted to be. The heartbeat of the pack. Although she had no set plan in mind now, she wasn't going to be wasting any time 'getting to know' her pack members. And she defiantly wasn't going to waste any time finding out exactly how she could play with them.
Amber eyes scanned the den just a few yards in front of her as she listened intently for anything that her eyes might have missed. Finally deciding she was alone, she trotted lazily with her head held level with her shoulders the remaining distance to the nearest cave. She wasn't going to search for anyone, that wasn't like her. She had become and expert lounger over the years and that is precisely what she did. When she decided on an area, she lowered her haunches and prepared herself. Lifting her head towards the sun and panting slowly, she tried to appear as if she didn't really belong there. Innocent and if the right gender came along, hopefully seductive. Appearing this way was her best approach to getting all the information she could on her new pack and it's leader.
This was the first time in her life that she had some control over who she interacted with and how. This was her time to shine.

A lone figure stood on a crest against the sun. It's black and rust colored pelt striking against the sun's white glow. Tial curved up in a majestic arch, auditory sensors cast forward to catch any hint of unwanted sound. Sky hated to be caught with nothing to do. This was just another time. A deep growl escaped her muzzle. How could anything ever possibly be accomplished sitting around with one's toes up one's ass? Finally, after several minutes of shifting her weight back and forth and looking around, she decided -- as she had a hundred times before -- no one was going to attack.
Great dome turned and long legs carried bodice down the incline back to the caves. She was in one in seconds, immediately feeling the change in temperature. Orbs rolled within their sockets. How fun it was to live in lava rock. Not that it really mattered, it never got unbearably cold here. She had lived outside most of her life anyway, what was the difference now? Mentally, the bitch kicked herself. There was a huge difference in the way things used to be to the way things were now. The most important being that she could almost find happiness here.
Finally, she found a cave she liked, though it was already occupied, and laid down. She didn't recognize the other scent within the space, but Erida would never allow anyone this close to home without at least trusting them to be less skilled than she, so Sky was forced to keep her mouth shut. The Metnal generally accepted anyone with a bit of bloodlust and a hatred of the human race. Sky gently rolled to her side and placed her muzzle upon her paws, tail wrapping around her eyes. If nothing else, it was going to be a good nap. As long as the new bitch kept her mouth shut...

Having nothing to think of, nothing to plot, nothing to tweak in her head was probably the most awful situation she could conceive being in. And the fact that no one was around to ease her mind of this sudden problem made it ten times worse. Tsunami was able to wait, but she had never tried it with a blank canvas within her mind. And she was missing all the right colours of paints to start another masterpiece. Shifting her weight quite frequently now, she found herself glancing towards the opening in the cavern, her patience failing and withering. Finally letting out a deep sigh and groan through her nose, she laid her heavy skull on the rust coloured paws outstretched before her, perhaps a nap would help her twisted mind relax.
The footfalls came quicker than she expected, really. Her heart seemed to skip a few beats as it tried to catch up with her cranium. She raised her head with so much force, she nearly sprained it, her triangular auds pushing even more forward than usual, black pupils widening and contracting quickly, trying to focus on the entryway. Just as quickly as her receivers came to life, they vanished. A sneer of disgust replaced as she turned her head. The scent she caught was that of a fae, one that demanded a guttural abhorrence to rise within her, and momentarily, she was unable to control it as a small growl bounced around within her large chest that ceased when the faes shadow came into view, not wanting to give her the impression of what she really felt.
Listening to her shuffle around and lay forced Tsunamis eyes to twitch slightly. She dug her nails into the ground below her, trying to regain her composure and not lash out at the newly arrived female to keep her noise to a minimum. Deep breaths. In through your mouth, and out through your nose, she reminded herself. Within moments, she was back in control. |
[/color] '...can i help you?', she thought as she forced the usual welcoming greeting through her maw."Hello.", her voice light and innocent, but carrying a sharp tone of questioning hidden within. She had learned through experience that it was always best to start simple, then to follow the others lead. Befriending someone wasn't as hard as others made it. You just needed to be willing to play follow the leader until you had them just where you wanted them.

As usual the muscular phantom had spent much of the morning on patrol, wandering the border hoping for a disturbance. The outskirts had been quiet recently much to the white brute's disappointment, and today was no different. Day in and day out he had wandered and only the scent of Metnal remained marking the territory. He did manage to pick up new scents earlier, yet when going to investigate it was apparent that the queen had already taken it upon herself to take care of the intrusion. From the looks of it she was having quite enough fun with the lone rottweiler male she was toying with. Just like a shadow he had slipped away from the pair choosing to stay unnoticed.
He had rounded the entire kingdom a single time and as normal returned to the den site for some beauty sleep, as if he needed it or so he thought. Massive paws carefully felt their way along the mountain's face cautiously watching for any loose blemishes that may give his presence away. The large dog's receptors flicked forward from their relaxed, angled state as the voice of a strange female echoed within the elaborate cave system. There he paused his downward movement, black nares spreading to attempt to capture her scent. It was faint as she must have come from the other direction, yet another strong presence was detected. A crooked grin spread along his black lined maw as he realized that Sky had also found the female. From the sounds of the introduction they were but mere moments apart from their arrival at the dens.
The warrior had paused upon the roofing of the den, and instead of continuing his lazy climb to the foot of the mountain muscles coiled under a sleek alabaster pelt. As if her rear ankles were springs he lunged with a surprising grace over the edge. As if he were a feline only a small collision between his paws and the earth below was heard, a small amount of dirt kicking up within the air. The auds upon his head lifted, forming a pair of horns upon his broad skull as his eyes narrowed through the dust. Several long strides pulled him within the cave's mouth, the grin still teasing his maw. "Well, well, what do we have here?" A thick latin accent rolled from his jaws as the female rottweiler came into view. His gaze purposely inspecting every inch of her frame, the stare that would make any female not fit for Metnal (and some who were) wary and uncomfortable.

Tsunami waited silently for a moment for the fae on the other side of the den to answer her, but nothing came from the rotten things mouth. Did that bitch have the audacity to ignore her? A snarl started forming on the right side of her maw as she began to raise herself to her haunches. She may be new to the pack, but Tsunami had too much pride to let some random female put herself on a pedestal right in front of her.
Although in reality, none of this was probably happening. Unfortunately for Tsunami, she had the habit of jumping to conclusions. She had never had a previous problem with this considering her brother never allowed anything to get out of control, but he wasn't here now. And a new sense of pride had washed over the fae now that she had been, what she considered in her mind, so frantically approved of and accepted into the group. She was so much more valuable than anyone else that dare to call this place home now.
Tsunami shifted her weight slightly, ready to approach the female. Ready to fling dirt and pebbles at her face. That would get her attention, she thought as the snarl formed into a smirk for a split second. She was ready to do this when she heard the soft thud coming from the entrance. Forgetting to control herself and change her demeanor, she turned back sharply towards where the sound had came from and snapped with a loud, aggravated bark following.
Her eyes widened then relaxed as she had probably surprised herself more than the brute that now stood in front of her. And it took even less time for her to actually realize that what had made the noise was, indeed, a male. Game on. She gasped to herself and lowered her head, adverting her eyes from the male. "Oh, I'm so sorry. You gave me a bit of a fright. Please forgive me, sir." She flicked her amber eyes back up towards the brute and smiled shyly at him. All the while, keeping her ears and nose on the female who rested feet away.

Although the sharp bark that pierced his cropped receptors was not what was expected by his approach it was not really all that surprising. Most that roamed these lands were short tempered, and a good percentage of the others were simply insane. A crooked grin tugged lightly at his maw, a single side twisting skyward at the submission offered by the shift of her gaze. One brow quirked in interest of the stranger, his nostrils flaring only to prove he wanted to know more about this fae. Two long strides were taken, pulling him closer as he continued to examine her scents. The queen's aroma loomed upon her as did another male. He considered the last he had seen the doberman, she was exchanging words with another of this newcomer's breed. Perhaps they knew each other.
The large white beast cleared his throat casually, the sound echoing within the cave system as it rolled from rocky surface to another. The smile softened, touching his brown orbs offering him quite a debonair countenance. A deep, smooth voice rolled from his tongue as his tainted gaze scrutinized the Rottweiler's frame, "Aye, Mamacita, please have no worries." A broad tongue gently dabbed either side of his maw as dual optics locked upon her features. The distance between then was nearly annihilated by lengthy strides pulling him within a comfortable speaking distance. His broad skull dipped to better meet her gaze, "There are few that would get away with offering such a harsh reaction to me, but I can make an exception for such a beautiful damsel, no?" With that the brute lowered himself back upon muscular haunches making himself quite comfortable.

Tsunami lifted her brows to the male, with her head still low, batting her lids. A fairly innocent facade. Her triangular ears perked forward slightly as the male spoke, now noting his thick Latin accent that seemed to roll off his tongue. She raised her head to meet the brutes, now sporting a sweet, wide, welcoming smile that shouted embarrassment as he complimented her features.
On the inside, she found it hard for the eye rolling she imagined herself doing not to show on the outside. She scoffed at herself silently. Although she highly enjoyed this kind of attention, she would never let herself believe it was true. She would never let the brutes know how much she lead herself to believe that she despised it.
She rose to her haunches while giggling at the male in front of her. She enjoyed flaunting any sort of flirtatious behavior she had in her, but at the same time she felt as if she shouldn't waste time. Something was going on between her brother and Erida. And the more involved Typhoon got, the more he would understand what the pack was really about. And that could never end well. Tsunami needed an anchor within the pack. Something of which that prevented her from falling off as Typhoon eventually would.
"Aw, you're too kind, sir. Although I do believe you might be a bit of an exaggerator. I'm Tsunami. And I'm sure to someone like yourself, quite obviously new to the lands." Her words were sweet and very young sounding, always hard to be taken seriously. She scanned the land behind the brute with a slightly worried expression crossing her face before stepping closer to the brute, aiming to whisper to him.
"Pardon me if I'm in any imposition, but I fear my stay here may be short lived." She pouted her maw and widened her eyes when she reached him, mere inches from his face. "I don't really think I fit in well with the rest of the pack, especially Queen Erida. But maybe if I knew a little more about them... what they liked? What they didn't? I just feel like I have no connection to any of the members. Could you help me?"
Tsunami whimpered slightly, trying to appear as in need of assistance as possible. She couldn't be arsed finding out information on the other member of the pack herself, so hopefully, if things went to plan, she could start here.

[bg=666666][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=background,http://i50.tinypic.com/2gvoj74.jpg] The massive brutes' maw split into a charming grin as the angelic voice chimed toward his cropped receptors. His broad skull bobbed a single time in response to her assumption that he was aware she was new to the pack. "Someone like him" was quite true in many ways. First of all, his most important duty was to the pack. He tried his hardest to be sure to know every canine that dared step a single paw pad over the border, taking his job of warrior to a higher extent. Some may consider him holding multiple positions...warrior...guard...spy....and every single one was by choice. Never could he spend his day lounging in the sun like so many lazy dogs. Still, true to his breed, he had to be at work. He had to feel useful, had to have a purpose. "Of course I am aware that you are new to these beautiful lands. I would be a fool not to immediately recognize your fresh face among those so plain that have filled the pack for so long." A single shade fell and rose in the form of a wink. Although most who used such speech could be considered pathetic, coming from the Dogo Argentino added a certain charm.
Just as he was about to offer his name to the femmora he was silenced by the sweet aroma of fresh blooming flowers, the scent that seemed to float from the female form. A blood red muscle slipped from it's moist dungeon, slipping along the length of his snout. Irises slipped to the sides of their sockets to watch the approaching female, triangular soldiers twisting to follow ever sound formed by her movement, and then her words. He patiently listened, holding the silence only for a short moment after her plea for assistance was complete. A deep chuckle rolled up his throat, optics squinting in the humor that flooded the brute, "Oh dear, nobody quite fits right with another here." The laughter ceased his head tilting to the side allowing his gaze to lock upon hers, "No matter how comfortable one may seem with another within the pack none that have survived will ever let their guard completely down. Though we stand together when the need shall arise, and we may hunt together at times do not expect to easily find friends here. This is not the most trusting nor the most stable group of dogs, mademoiselle." A crooked smile, a sign of the hidden amusement, slithered across his features as his gaze shifted along her body. His eyes moved slowly, enough to make most "normal" canines uncomfortable, before returning to the Rottweiler's features. "To answer your questions...there is nothing that they like more than proof that you are worth the space here that you take up."
Rear limbs straightened, lifting him to his full height. A quick, short shake cleared any dust that had managed to settle itself upon the short white coat before long limbs pulled the mascu in a tight circle around the female. He paused as he stood parallel to her, his inky digit lowering toward her aud whispering gently, "The best advice I may give you is to not trust a soul."
