Less than an hour ago soft feet tiptoed around the broken remains of the small villiage where the humans used to call home. He wasn't moving cautiously through the area out of fear or the idea of any sort of danger, he just wanted to take his time and breathe in every part of their exsistance. Nuke had recieved word a few days prior of a pack of canines that had formed near the town. At first, he could care less. What would a pack of mangy mutts have to offer him that he couldn't find himself?
As the days wore on, he quickly begain to realize what they could offer him. Compainionship. Spending so much of his time in the past nowadays, he was finding it harder to tell his dreams and nightmares from reality. When he woke up this morning and raced back to his old home searching for his human, only to run across her remains, he decided in a state of shocked horror that he needed a constant. Something in his real life that could separate himself from his dreams.
So here he was. Moving quietly through the beautiful foilage, stopping to smell the orchids. He still wasn't entirely sure if this was what he wanted, but he was going to at least give it a try. Having no idea where to really go or who he needed to speak to, he continued trudging on through the thick array of flowers carelessly loud, hoping someone in this area would spot him before nightfall.
He thought back to the small terrier that had mentioned in passing about the Elysian Pack. The dog had seemed so jittery and almost insane. Maybe the little canine didn't have a clue what it was talking about. For all Nuke knew, he was on a path to a dead end or worse, a path in the direction of the Metnal pack. The reason for his nightmares.
OOC: Sorry it's so short, my muse is missing a bit today D: XD

[bg=B69D75][atrb=width,471,true][atrb=border,0,true] Doing his rounds in pack lands, Tobi was scouting the borders of Elysian lands in case someone had entered and needed inspection or questioning. After what had happened with the humans, he was a little iffy about new canines walking about, but was always open for some new members... though a little sketchy around strangers, trying to pick out those who have joined the Menthal in case of any dangers that lurk beneath their skin.
It didn't take long for him to pick out the scent of a stranger wandering around, and just like he should, Tobi started following his scent. Picking out the trails, he didn't make any short cuts, in fear that he might over shoot the stranger, or completely miss the trail. Colorful pastel colors brightened the path, giving life to the lands on which he had adopted for those who felt pain of their loss. He had not created this pack for himself, but to comfort others, and he had to keep them safe... no matter the pressure that might put on his being.
Soon his sharp auds picked up the sounds of rustling in the brush, paw steps not too far off from where the brindle Akita stood. Pushing a few large leaves to the side, copper met another traipsing, "Are you a wanderer, or are you searching for something in these lands." his stern voice called out, letting his body follow from out of the leaves and into the slight opening.
ooc: No prob! Mine's no better today XD

The burning sun was still high in the sky and he began to be thankful that he had decided to start his search in the forest where the tall trees shielded the unforgiving burn. He directed his gaze up wards to peer at the tree tops, thanking them. When he happened upon a small clearing in the forest, he stood, taking in the sights and smells. Being such a fan of nature as he was, he could almost feel the grateful tears welling up in his eyes before he blinked them back and smiled to himself.
When he began focusing on his individual surroundings again instead of everything as a whole, he could hear the foot falls coming in his direction. He had been making so much noise himself to attract attention that he hadn't heard anything else but his own careless clumsiness. Turning his attention to the direction the noise was coming from, he felt an extreme need to bolt for cover. His nails dug into the ground, reminding him that he had ventured here for this reason. Running now would prove the past few hours incredibly moot.
When the voice called out to him, the butterflies in the pit of his stomach seemed to fade away and be replaced by a sort of bravery he didn't experience often. Only when he had no other choice. The voice didn't sound demented or ruthless, like members of the Metnal pack. It sounded stern but caring. A true leaders voice, if he had an idea of what that was. The brindle Akita emerged from the foliage directly opposite of Nuke and a sigh escaped his lips. What you can't see is what Nuke feared. Lowering himself to his haunches and lowering his head to shoulder level, he tried to come off as submissive as he knew how, adverting his eyes.
"A little of both I suppose..." He glanced up at the wrinkled male. "...I've been wandering around looking for something in particular. If you don't mind, I'd like to leave my reasonings hidden until I know who you are. Trust can be an issue now-a-days, as you can imagine."
|
With that, he raised his head and looked at the other brute head on, expressionless. [/blockquote]

Letting his frame slink out from the leafy abyss, his tiger like brindle coat, of rare antiquity had made it's full appearance, while a copper like gaze fell uppon the brute that stood before him. While the other seemed to have dropped to his haunches, Tobi had kept himself to his usual high stature. He didn't need to curl his tail, not only would that depict him as being cocky and flaunting, but it was just naturally draped over his frank, comfortably and relaxed as usual. It was sort of odd to see such a canine take on right away such a submissive form, but perhaps he, like what most should, knew or felt that those in a pack had a higher status then vagabonds... or so he smelled of such, from the distance between them, Tobi could only make out the scent of a loner. Good, at least he didn't smell suspicious.
"That is perfectly understandable. Allow me to introduce myself." He started, after living through the damage of a few times past, he understood how iffy one could be around strangers. "I am Tobi. And you are?" If this dog needed to hear more of the leader, he would ask. Who knows, maybe he knew where he was, and knew of the pack that claimed this foliage, and to announce it; might come off as blunt and annoying. He let his words roll of the tongue, gently and yet with a strong structure behind them, his shoulders squared, but relaxed. He was home, and there was no need as of such, to be uncaring to others. What would the rest of Elysian think of him if he did such acts?
Watching the male, he started to wonder more and more who this canine was. He may not carry the scent of others, but that could be duped. All he needed was some canine from that pack to come along and ruin his second family. No, he would rather die before letting that happen again.

Nuke remained seated as the Akita spoke to him. His voice still showed no signs of venom, but Metnal were always able to lie their way out of anything. As the other brute spoke, Nuke studied him, his posture, the way his eyes looked when he mouthed words, how his tongue flicked inside his mouth pronouncing them. All things he always looked while a new canine in his life spoke. Because although everyone could mask some things about themselves, they were never able to get everything under cover from their hidden lies.
The Akitas eyes were focused, but no lies hidden there. His tongue moved with ease, nothing being forced out. The brute was pretty well all together. Nuke trusted his intuition and it told him to trust this canine that stood before him. Perhaps this is one of the things he had been looking for.
Nuke lowered his head once again, peering up at the male, straining his eyes to reach the males face."Nuclear. Or Nuke. I prefer the latter.", he started. Nuke lifted his head level with the male, wanting him to see the same truths Nuke saw in the brutes eyes when he had spoken. "It, thus far, is a pleasure. And I'm sure it's all mine. But as I said before, I come here for reasons. I kept them from you in fear of Metnal..."
|
, he hissed the packs name with pure disgust, nearly wincing from it."But. I don't believe you run with the vile creatures. So I must assume that I'm currently in Elysian territory. Which is exactly where I want to be." Feeling more relaxed now, Nuke puffed his chest out slightly as a small charming smirk etched itself across his muzzle. His ears snapped back into an upright position and his overall demeanor seemed to merge with the surroundings, as if he belonged right there in that very spot. Being such a hardcore fan of nature, he took everything that happened around him to heart. As a small breeze blew against his back, Nuke understood this as a sign to push forward, that what he was doing was right. Everything took mere seconds in his mind to process as he finished his statement to the Akita."Now, and preferably in the unforeseen future.". [/blockquote]

The Elysian king had nodded his head in a friendly acknowledgment gesture to the strangers name. At least there was to be a name to go with the face and scent now. He observed the dog's actions carefully, a stranger is a stranger, no less and no more and should be treated as such until further notice was his way of thought after taking on the pack as his own. The akita was pleased so far with whom this dog was turning out to be, warm shinning bronze eyes glazed over with a calm assertive feature had watched peacefully as of now.
"You wish to stay on Elysian lands?" he questioned softly after Nuke had been done speaking. Questions as of why had surfaced, but they may be answered in due time with out looking suspicious or rude to the dog before him. Shifting his weight, the brindle male had made a few side steps to make himself a little more comfortable, now sitting on his haunches, he had kept his gaze upon the brute. "I'm sorry to hear you fear such a pack, though I do not blame you." he started in a more soft sympathetic voice. "You are welcomed to stay if you wish, but there are measures you must take before I may let you stay here as long as you seem to be willing." Tobi had let his voice trail off for a moment, waiting to see what the other might say about the fact. There are things that must be said before someone may stay, if he wished to stay as long as he said he wished, visitors were more then welcome, but none may stay unless they were family.
Was this dog wishing to join, or just pass through?

As he watched the brute in front of him sit on his haunches, Nuke did the exact opposite once the Akita had finished speaking. He rose and took a few strides towards the male, filling in the blank space between the two, grinning as he spoke. "Well, I'm goint to be blunt with you."
|
, he started. He then lowered his rear to the ground roughly as a almost flirtatious smirk grew across his maw as his tilted his head slightly, looking up to the sky, as if he were thinking. With seemingly opaque eyes he continued to gaze at the tree tops while he spoke. "This isn't something I ever expected to be doing. I don't know the rules, I don't know what you mean by measures. And I don't know exactly how this is supposed to play out. What I do know, though, is..." . Nukes gaze lowered back down to the brindle dog, the flirtatious look gone, now replaced with something akin to sorrow. "What I do know is that I need help. I... I thought I was strong enough, but I'm not. I need help from others whom have been through the same thing."His eyes darted from the male for a split second as he thought about this being the first time he had shown any true emotion to another canine about what had happened so many nights ago, other than anger. It was still harder than he thought it would be. He wanted to appear strong around this Akita. He could have rambled on about something else, but he wanted to be honest. He needed this too much not to be honest. When his eyes flicked back up to the brute, Nuke inhaled a large quantity of air, his cheat puffing before releasing it slowly through his nostrils, trying to calm his now climbing heart rate. WC//309 OOC//I had to force muse out today, sorry D: [/blockquote]
