He himself preferred dry land, but the occasion did call for a submergence sometimes. This, however, was not one of those times. This was a resurfacing. A resurfacing, because he had just gotten back from a long trip. A trip of unknown wandering, something that would be romanticized as an adventure. Romanticizing, however, was for the gushy of heart. For those who looked for life time partners with dewy, doe eyes and throbbing hearts. Now he could say, an a sort of egotistical way, that he was a heartthrob... But as for his heart itself? No; the strings to that organ had been cut long ago when he had lost his pack as well as his prime. That was what called for the occasion of disappearance. Not that it mattered though, for this legendary brute only really existed in the dreams and nightmares of domestic dogs. How did it feel to be hated and feared by ones who were slaves of humans at one time? Well, it hardly compensated for much, but he took what he could get, and lately, he was not that picky.
Now this ghost of a brute had returned to his home and his own nightmare. Finally having enough of the life outside of his life. But just how much did it change? A lot could happen when one was gone from his staffing place and he wondered if he'd be as effective as before. One could only hope, but perhaps, in the end he would need to instill the fear into those around him once more. No longer did he feel the need to stay in the far hills of the wilderness where he would rot alone to join his pack. No, this time he would walk a ghost with no boundaries. It wasn't like he was on anyones side anyway. He was just an instigator and an investigator. He was here to take what was his.
For now however, he turned his crimson eyes to the rushing waves that came crashing down to bow and kiss his paws. The sun was just about setting into the night. And nighttime was when he was most active in the trouble he formed.

It had not been long ago that she began to call these very lands her home, yet still she felt obligated to do what she could to protect them. The normally peaceful wolfess was now on full alert since every one of her pack mates seemed to have vanished into thin air only days apart. Most of the trails she had found led to no where, ended at a dead end where nature seemed to have devoured any traces of her new family. Their leader had been missing for the longest amount of time, disappearing directly after granting her access to not only his territory, but his family as well. None knew of where he was wandering to though many assumed it was to the village once again as he had frequented there many times before. Was this just a longer than average trip? What about the others? It was a rather small pack, and that was just what she was looking for, but for Caela to be the single lone wolfess left was strange to say the least.
Perhaps the scent that crossed her path on the crisp air was that of a member she had yet to meet, or at least this was what she hoped. An intruder would not be one she wanted to encounter all alone not knowing the lands so well herself. Dainty white paws carried her along the river rocks bordering the stream leading toward the sudden drop, paw pads gliding over the rounded stones to avoid shifting them as much as possible. The vociferous falls were the first to welcome the fae with their powerful liquid screams crashing from boulder to boulder until diving deep within the pool below. The lean, alabaster figure paused at the edge of the cliff, pools of liquid ice piercing through the encroaching darkness immediately finding the white shadow standing over the waters below. Petite auds pushed forward straining to catch any sounds that the rushing water attempted to hide under it's thunderous voice. Slender limbs shifted themselves pushing her figure gracefully over the cliff's lip, stepping downward onto a large, flat rock jutting out from the side of the mountainous structure. The apparitional, white shadow haunted that very ledge for a long moment, her figure clashing with the coming of twilight simply watching in silence. Unsure if to approach the male below, knowing from his scent that he was not one of the Elysians, yet he was so familiar at the same time. Who exactly was this wolf?
