Please ask any questions that you have regarding the rules, or anything else regarding Extermination or role playing. Once some questions are listed I will post a FAQ sheet for all to see.
Q: Is magic allowed? (UPDATED 4/26/2010)
A: Supernatural powers may be gained on the eastern side of the island when contact is made with the chemicals of the lab. These powers must be purchased in the Diripio Market.
Q: How many powers can my character have?
A: Only one approved, purchased power is allowed per character.
Q: Can I transfer bones from a current character to a new one in order to purchase something for them from the market?
A: Yes, when making a new character you may transfer bones from one character to the new character. Please contact Erida or Typhoon to request this.
Q: How do I get a pop up notification of a new PM?
A: Doing this only takes a moment, and it is highly recommended unless you check for new PMs frequently. In order to set your account to notify you via a pop up message when a new PM arrives follow the directions below. Please note that the pop ups only occur when the page is refreshed or if you go to a new page.
1. Go to your inbox (link to it is in the information table at the bottom of the main page).
2. Select Preferences.
3. Choose yes on the drop down menu where it asks if you would like an alert box when you receive a PM.
4. Save Preferences.
Tada! All done!
Q: Do I need to have a new account for every character?
A:It has been found that having multiple characters on one account can become confusing. Please create separate accounts for each character.
Q: How long is a year in Extermination?
A: One Extermination year is equal to 8 real months. The dates of the season changes are on the calendar for a reminder to all.
Q: What kind of character can I have?
A: All species of canines and canine hybrids are free to be created. For your convenience there is a species list in the character section that has a list of canine species and link to pictures of them. There is also a domestic dog breed list.
Q: Can my character on the western side of the island have powers?
A: Not at this time. In the future this will be possible.
Q: Can my character from the eastern half of the island RP with those on the western half?
A: Not yet. Soon both sides will be open to everybody. However we decided to open the eastern half to new characters in order to allow people to begin their own plots and relationships before discovering the other half of the island.
