General
- At this time characters from the east and west sides may not interact and may not be aware of each other. This will change shortly, however for our site plot to go as planned please follow this rule.
- NO POWER PLAYING OR GOD MODDING
- You must be 13 years or older to join Extermination as this is the ProBoards rule, which you must acknowledge when creating an account. If we find out that you are under the age requirement we will be forced to ban you from Extermination or risk our forum being deleted. If you are under 13 simply do not announce it.
- Please be respectful of everybody in the forums and cbox. We will not tolerate members threatening, purposely insulting, or making racist, sexist, or religious remarks. This forum is for fun and we want it to stay that way.
- No spamming! Repeated unrelated posts that do not add to the thread or conversation will be deleted. If our warnings about spamming are ignored you will be deleted.
- Accounts inactive for 3 months without posting your absence in the appropriate thread will be removed. The characters under the deleted account will be killed off. Please take the time to inform us if you will be away for an extended amount of time. If you have unexpected circumstances arise please contact the staff.
- Please avoid chat speak. This is a semi-literate to a literate forum and we expect proper English to be used even if we are beginner friendly. You may use chat speak in the c-box in moderation.
- Do not stretch the forum with signatures, please use an appropriate size.
- All rules within this thread apply to your signatures. You will be warned about any offensive material within the signature.
- We are a fairly laid back group, however, if you consistently break the rules mentioned and ignore the staff warnings you very well may be banned from the forum.
- Do not steal someone’s character, ideas, images, post formats, etc. If you believe somebody has taken something you have used or posted on Extermination please contact staff.
- Act mature! We are too busy to deal with tantrums like toddlers. If you have an issue or upset that you can’t deal with via PM (and not on open forum for all to be in your private business) feel free to PM a staff member. As long as you act mature and don’t whine about it and make idle threats we will be more than happy to assist you as best we can.
- Keep personal issues out of the forum and Cbox. Use PMs.
Applying
- You may use one account for all of your characters, or use multiple accounts. It is completely up to you and which ever is more convenient for you is welcome. UPDATED!
- If unable to complete your biography please either save it to your computer or make a note in the title that you are not done yet. (i.e. Dog’s Name – Not Complete).
- Please do not begin to roleplay your character until your character has been accepted. Character biographies are generally replied to within 24 hours.
- Registered members are welcome to participate in the OOC boards prior to their acceptance.
- Make an effort to be descriptive when applying. Profiles should not only meet the minimum requirements when applying with a character, but should be descriptive and detailed. When reading a profile we should be able to envision the character’s looks and how they act.
- There is no such thing as perfect. Please do not make a “perfect” character as quite frankly they become annoying and others end up not wanting to RP with them. Everybody/everything has flaws.
- New members must post their first biography within 7 days or they will be emailed a reminder. If they fail to post within 14 days their account will be deleted unless a note is mentioned in the Holiday Schedule thread stating you will be away.
Posting
- Please try your hardest to push your creativity in your posts.We urge members to strive to post detailed, creative posts with a minimum of 200 words.
- You do not have to post in order in threads as some times others won’t be online for a few days and it will hold a thread up. Attempt to not leave other characters behind when they’re vital to the thread.
- Please be sure to definitively show thoughts, speech, and actions. Generally thoughts and speech are in a different color from actions. Most italicize thought, some bold their speech.
- Please be sure to mark a thread if it is open to only certain characters. For instance, if I only wanted a character named Joe to enter the new thread I made I would title it as so: New Thread [Joe]. If a thread title does not have certain characters within the title it will be assumed that it is an open thread and all may participate.
- Characters are allowed to travel upon any land. However, be aware of what’s happening in the plots around you! If you go upon enemy lands it’s possible your character could get killed or severely injured. Also note that rogues and loners may not always be welcome with open paws.
- Liquid time is allowed (a character being in multiple threads at once). I will not put a limit on the number of threads a character can be in, but please do not over do it.
- If you want to earn an extra 5 bones for a thread that you have posted with more than 400 words please be sure to include the word count at the bottom of the thread. We will give 10 bones to all IC posts that do not have a word count listed. (read about bones here)
Characters
- There is no limit on characters as long as they stay active.
- Unnatural colors are not allowed. However, unnatural eye colors may be purchased from the Diripio Market.
- We will accept unusual markings as long as they are of natural colors.
- Hybrids of accepted species are welcome (even if you would not see a fox/wolf hybrid IRL it is accepted here, however are infertile and the ability to breed must be purchased in store).
- Extinct species and banned species/genders/etc must be purchased in store by an already active member.
- Supernatural powers may be purchased in our store by active members. You may transfer bones from an old character to a new in order to buy the power for your new character. Only one power is allowed per character and must be used responsibly.
- Characters are considered pups until they reach a year old. Characters between 1 and 3 years are considered juveniles. Characters reach maturity at 3 years of age.
- Please remember that litter-mates are the same age. Communicate with the players of your litter-mates to make sure that all of the pups age at the same time.
- Pups born to the characters in Extermination begin life at 2 months old. This allows the people playing them to do just that, use them other than saying “puppy rolled over, puppy ate, puppy slept, puppy pooped”…you get the idea.
Breeding
- Hybrids are all born infertile. You have the ability to purchase an exception in the store PER breeding. The pup(s) born will be infertile as well.
- Force breeding is allowed with the permission of the female’s player via PM.
- Characters must be 3 years of age in order to breed successfully.
- Females must carry the litter for 2 weeks real time, can carry longer if details still need to be made.
- Breeding and Birthing are restricted to Autumn and Spring. Your female may birth in the same season (after 2 IRL weeks), or you may wait until the following breeding/birthing season.
- Females must wait 6 real time months before mating again. If force bred the chances are she will not become impregnated, or the pup(s) may not be completely healthy.
- Please be sure to post the breeding in a thread before requesting puppies.
- Before you have the ability to play your new pup(s) a biography must be created for the puppy just as with any new character.
- Please note that the amount of pups, and genders that you get is determined by staff. A dice is rolled to receive the number of pups. When the female is force bred the number to show up on the dice is halved (i.e. dice rolls a 4, she gets two pups, or if it rolls a 1 she doesn’t get pregnant).
- Any species may mate to create hybrid puppies.
Fighting
- Remember you are not invincible! You must take hits!
- No god modding or power playing. If you did either you automatically are the loser.
- Staff determines who will win the fight if it is undetermined by the players, if they cannot decide who won, or if it is over a “prize”.
- Quality is more important than quantity when determining the winner. Grammar, description, and spelling are what is considered along with common sense of which character would win (chances of a kit fox beating a timber wolf are slim).
- The number of hits and dodges allowed should be set by the players if this is not a simple brawl and is over land, etc. Please make the very first line in the first post the agreed upon dodge/hit number in bold capital letters. The second person should mark that they agreed to the numbers in their first post.
- you wish to challenge an alpha for their position please contact staff for permission.
- If challenging for lands/leadership those lands may not be challenged again for 4 real time weeks.
CBox
- All forum rules apply in the Cbox. The only rule that does not apply is chat speak is allowed (please do not overdo it).
- Do not impersonate another member in the CBOX. We do have access to ISPs and if you are accused of this we will investigate.
- Annihilation is the password.
