Gender: Brute
Species/Breed: German Shepard/American Dingo X
º I §ee you £ooking at me º
Pelt/Hair color and length: A short but dense coat that sheds in the spring consisting of a deep red ginger colour with black markings on the back from the neck to the tip of the tail with his muzzle featuring black as well. A small white tuff of hair rests in the center of his chest.
Eye color: Light Brown
Build (height, weight, overall structure): Nukes body make allows him to be very quick and agile, showing extreme flexibility and able to turn instantly. Straight back, long legs sporting small feet. Weighing in at around 55lbs and standing roughly 21 inches at the shoulder
Detailed Description (or picture):
His ears stand erect coming from the sides of his head. The largeness of them allows for optimum hearing. Nukes face is broad and square which would suggest that he has powerful jaws but his bite is in fact rather weak. His teeth are turning yellow slightly from age and wear and tear. His tail is broad at the base and it always held up, never loose or slack. Being part American Dingo, he is built to live in a natural world. Strong and capable.
He sports a leather collar around his neck with a nuclear symbol that seems to be stamped into the collar.

History:
Nuke never really knew his parents. He was plucked from his litter at a mere 4 weeks of age. His owners father was severely irritated that his pure bred German Shepard mated with some wild Dingo to create a load of mutts. He had drowned the rest of the littler. Thankfully, his daughter had pleaded with him to let her keep one puppy.
Although his owners father had nothing to do with Nuke ever, Darcy was a wonderful owner. Nuke pulled his fair share of work but unlike most of the dogs around, Nuke was allowed to sleep on his owners bed at nights and play fetch in the afternoons.
When things started falling apart and the humans disappearing, Nuke did everything in his power to keep his Darcy safe. But one dog can only do so much. In the end, the masses of blood thirsty dogs won. Since then, Nuke has been keeping to himself. Not wanting to cause trouble with the dogs that were ecstatic over the freedom. He will never forget his Darcy. And one day planned on having his revenge.
Personality:
Nuke does things on his own. Although he enjoys the company of others it is always short lived. He has yet to meet any other canines that he feels a connection with. He sees himself as a dominate dog but never expresses or enforces it unless there is no other choice.
He has bouts of playfulness daily, but mostly is quite happy finding a surreal place to lay and watch the world pass by. He is taken aback nearly every day by simple things like a clear starry night sky or fireflies lighting up a field.
Nukes hunting skills are minimum at best, but he manages with sticking to small rodents and birds. He has become an expert scavenger, though.
He is a true water dog in his heart, his dense coat helps him endure the cold water. No matter the weather, he loves to lay in a shallow bit of water, relax and try to lap it all up until his stomach feels like it's going to explode.
He was definitely not happy with the humans demise. He worked for them, loved them and fought for them faithfully until their last moments in this place. He wonders now if he will ever find the sort of love and devotion his owners offered him again.
Overall, he is a happy dog. Bold. Brave. Quite but opinionated. Calm but full of energy just waiting for it's opportunity to lash out. He can be a charmer if he feels it will help his current situation. He doesn't understand hatred or evil, because who could hold hatred while living in such a beautiful world?

The rain was falling hard now, mixed with a wind that could chill you to the bone. Usually Nuke enjoyed the rain. One of the earths finest creations, but this one was harsh and unforgiving. He had entered this neighborhood early in the morning, making his way slowly from open house to open house exploring what they had to offer. Of course nothing much of interest. The city seemed dead. He had yet to run into any other creatures other than the occasional rat or pigeon. As he pushed through the downpour his stomach gurgled. How long had it been? He reckoned on a couple days since he came across the discarded remains of the deer. He had feasted then but now the pang of hunger was returning slowly.
Nuke sighted the back door of a large two story home with a hole large enough for him to squeeze through. 'It'll do for now' he thought to himself. He quietly scurried under the opening and then listened hard for any movement within the home. He had learned quickly that barging into a home without resolve could be a deadly situation if the current residence didn't appreciate the company.
As he listened carefully, he could hear a few mumbles towards the other side of the house. They sounded friendly enough but he decided it best to get a little closer before making an appearance. He crept slowly towards the sound, knowing full well that any noise he did make would be drowned out by the sound of the rain and wind outside. When he neared the entrance of the kitchen, he could smell two dogs. A male and a female, no stress, no fear, friendly.
"I do beg your apology, my name is Beau, and it's very nice to meet a friendly face in these parts."
Strangers. One more couldn't hurt. Nukes fur was still soaked from the rain, he hadn't yet shook himself and the cold was starting to get to him. He thought it best that he made his entrance now before the two dogs caught scent of him and made assumptions on his creeping about. He turned the corner and quickly shook off the water dripping from his coat then planted himself in the entry to the kitchen as a way of escape if need be. "Aye, I can agree with that. Haven't seen another friendly face in nearly a week. Pleased to meet you, name's Nuke. Do tell if I'm in any imposition." He looked both of the dogs head on, putting on his friendliest face as possible.
