OOC Name/Nickname: Smudge
Calling: Hueso
Age: 4 years
Gender: male
Species/Breed: (White) German Shepherd Dog
º I §ee you £ooking at me º
Pelt/Hair color and length: Hueso's pelt is medium in length, with a silky, rough kind of texture. He is completely white in color even though parts of him may appear faded or discolored.
Eye color: Dark, almost black-ish brown.
Build (height, weight, overall structure): 26 inches at the whithers, 88 lbs, muscular but still lean and agile with a deep and narrow chest.
Detailed Description (or picture): Despite the numerous scars along his body, his pelt is usually kept pretty clean. Speaking of scars, he has received many through the life he has lead- one of fighting and constant argument. One nasty scar reaches across the bridge of his nose. Hueso has a large chest cavity, something normal for his breed, and an indent leading to his stomach. It may appear as if he is skinny, but in truth the male is lean and almost every part of his body is hard to the touch due to toned muscle over the years. Trouble throughout life sometimes gives him an older-looking-dog appearance, since a lot of his fur is feathered out and ruffled. He is even missing some fur on his limbs and other parts of his body.

History: Hueso never met his mother. Supposedly, she was unable to supply him and his sister with enough milk for them to survive, so he was hand-raised by a police officer, who worked in the K-9 division for the police. His father, Logan, had been an excellent member of the team, and one of the lead and commonly used dogs in the force. Oddly enough, his father was completely black. He was a tough brute, with broad shoulders and a huge, muscular form, much more bulky than Hueso's. Hueso never enjoyed working for the force, especially since his father didn't like the idea of his son taking over his job. Logan would constantly correct and taunt him, insisting that he would never be good enough and he was a weakling. Since Logan had authority among the other dogs, they joined in and gave Hueso a hard time.
The only thing Hueso enjoyed was attacking the humans. The police-man who controlled Hueso used a shock collar to get the results he wanted. If Hueso did anything wrong he would be severely punished. But this was the way of being a K-9 in this unit. Listen or be punished. One time a dog sharing a pen with him, a good friend of Logan's, attacked him. Hueso took out all of his frustration on his opponent, and ended up killing him. Dogs from other pens started to howl and bark in excitement and fear, and it wasn't long before a cursing police officer came storming out, to find Hueso crouched over the other dog's throat. Hueso couldn't hide his deed- crimson was all over his white pelt. The humans rushed inside to discuss the matter in hushed voices. Hueso knew trouble was coming his way. During the time that the humans were talking, he heard a small voice come from the left side of his pen.
'Hueso. Hueso! They're gonna kill ya, man. Get out while you can.'
It was Diesel, a Belgian Malinois that was decent friends with Hueso. He nodded a nervous 'thank-you', before waiting for the police to come back. He already knew death was waiting around the corner to snatch him up. When the police came back out, they called Hueso to the pen gate. They wouldn't dare touch the beast now, so they used an extended leash connected to a metal pole to put around his neck. They opened the gate and Hueso bolted, only to be swung backward and choked in the process. The collar was tightening around his neck. The humans lead him far away from the other dogs, and to a man dressed in a long white coat. He had a needle in his hand. So this is it. Hueso snarled. He wouldn't back away from death; he was going to face it full on. As the man neared Hueso turned on him, snapping at his hands. The collar tightened so much he fell to the ground, gasping in agony. He couldn't breathe. Blood-shot eyes glared at the man holding his collar from several yards away, protected by the pole that kept Hueso away. As the vet picked up the needle and tried again, Hueso lunged toward the man holding the pole.
The man, thankfully, was not prepared. The metal jammed into his stomach. With the man now dazed, Hueso surged forward with whatever strength he had left. The man lost grip of the pole and Hueso was off, a white flash with a gray pole dragging behind him. The humans tried to keep up but the shepherd was much too fast. But the collar only loosened slightly, so Hueso was still in desperate need of oxygen. But he couldn't stop. Finding the measly 5-foot fence ahead, he quickly leaped over it only to be yanked back. The pole had caught against it, and Hueso had almost snapped his neck. He was now frantically jumping around and yelping to free himself. The humans were only several feet behind him. It scared him so bad he jumped forward as hard as he could only to be slammed into the fence because the collar yanked him back. Dazed and now choking, he slipped to the floor. And suddenly, the oxygen came back. He could breathe again. The collar had slipped off of his head. Right when he realized this a rough hand grabbed his scruff. He immediately gripped the flesh between his jaws and dug in with all his might. He tugged back and forth and managed to rip off a decent piece of flesh. Blood filled his mouth, and he charged off again, free from the humans forever.
[this was when he was only a year or two old, before the humans were killed off]
Personality: This is a very cool and collected kind of guy, but also not afraid to blurt out things when necessary. Hueso isn't really what you would consider evil, or what you would consider good, so consider him a brute in the middle. He just isn't what you would call very sociable, or friendly. He is more independent and free-thinking, and ignorant to popular belief. This also makes him tremendously headstrong- you're either agreeing with him, or disagreeing. He doesn't tolerate the 'wishy-washy'. He doesn't care about what others think; if it means him having a good time, then he'll do it. His idea of a good time is usually torture, but it isn't usually torture toward his own species. He has a thing for making human's lives more difficult. Whether it's destroying something valuable or enjoying their meal, he'll do it. He's burned down a library before, so I'm not exaggerating his hobby. Teamwork usually works most efficiently with destruction though right? In other words, Hueso doesn't mind a companion as long as they're not stupid. And that's all he will label you- either stupid or not stupid. Stupid to him doesn't really have a definition; it's just whether or not he likes your personality or agrees with your views.
When it comes to gender, he is calm and collected around males, even though he will appear quite sly at times. Towards females he will usually act indifferent, and the same as he would toward males- he isn't much of a charmer or a flirt unless you urge him to be. He usually gets along with either sex well, as long as they get along with him. If he likes a female he won't hide it, but he doesn't usually have cruel or bad intentions towards her. A one-night-stand just doesn't work for him, since he plans to raise his pups strong and powerful to 'follow in his foot-steps'. Love is an unfamiliar emotion to him that he doesn't really relate to well. He wasn't shown love as a puppy, and it seemed frivolous to him as of right now. He knows the females that will lead other idiot males on (like his mother), and he plans not to fall into their traps. Although very opinionated, and seemingly outspoken, Hueso is also very secretive and cunning. He knows how to manipulate others to get what he wants, and how to trick other into believing lies. Whenever you greet him he will always have his signature crooked smile.
Maybe there is a more sweet and caring side to Hueso that hasn't been shown yet...maybe when he finds a mate he will soften his cruel ways...it all depends on the other dog. Likely he will remain a coldly polite and secretive canine for the rest of his life.

RPG Sample: The soil rasped against the male's paws; rough and tainted with oil and human waste. Unlike the usual soft, healthy earth, this dirt was mucky and hard, with each speck being a large, chunky gray ball of filth. The stench of oil and machinery made Hueso's nose crinkle in disgust. It was a sharp kind of smell that made the insides of his nose sting. The hot weather also did not help- Hueso could see heat waves rippling from the tracks ahead. Men toiled outside, sweating rivers from their bare heads and backs. Hueso smirked. Sucks for them. Surely a little more torture couldn't hurt? He sauntered forward, tail even with his spine and head held high above his shoulders. The sunlight reflected off of his glossy white pelt, illuminating his scars and patches of missing fur. His eyes glimmered with puppy-like mischief, and his jaws were opened in a large smile as his tongue dangled from the side of his mouth. He was growing very near to one of the makeshift cabins in the area, and he lifted an eyebrow in curiosity. He had been a little bit hungry all morning- maybe one of the humans would have a lunch in there?
He turned abruptly and slunk up the wooden steps. They moaned under his weight, and he paused. No one had noticed- but hey, even if they did, what could they do about it? Hueso hurried inside. But it was no use- no food could be seen or smelled in this hut. And so he crawled back out to search some more. His search brought him to a human munching on a ham sandwich. He sneaked up with ease, and within seconds had the meal between his jaws as the human stared in disbelief at his hands, where the sandwich had originally been. Hueso scarfed it down in a few bites and strutted away, knowing the human wouldn't stand a chance against him. It started to yell and chase him, but he didn't even blink. As the human reached him he whipped around and snapped, scaring the two-legger off. He chuckled and continued toward the train tracks. A sudden vibration deep inside the earth alerted Hueso to the oncoming train. Soon after he heard it's engine roaring angrily, and it's horn blasting the silence. He grinned. Showtime. He walked over to the tracks and laid down casually, as if not hundred-ton train was about to smash him.
He ignored the frantic calls of the humans, and the horn screaming into his ears. Next he heard the brakes, making a horrid screeching noise as they resisted the weight of the whole train. Sparks flew everywhere, and he looked up at the train with his crooked-smile. The operator's mouth was gaping open, and he was pulling at the horn as hard as he could. Suddenly, Hueso felt something prodding his back. it was a human, screaming at him to move. He just sat there, growling and chuckling at the same time. It was time. He leaped upward and away, seconds before the wheels were skidding where he once lay. He didn't know what happened to the person who had tried to heroically save him, and he didn't care, either. He trotted on forward, feeling satisfied with the human's agony so far. To many it would seem unnecessary and idiotic, but to Hueso it was the most fun game out. He didn't care what others thought. Sitting down under an oak far from the scene, he watched with interest to see the humans' reactions.
