New? No, that word wouldn’t quite fit in this situation. Although Mittel was new to the Metnal pack and the lifestyle of a pack, he had been upon the island for four years. After his mother passed on, he thought it fit to join in with the one legion he could say had values similiar to his own. Those values? That humans were monsters and should be slaughtered in such a horrific way. His mother had taught him to never trust the creatures, that although they may first appear nice and affectionate, they were nothing but hazardous in a canine’s life. They kept dogs as slaves and forced them to do tasks. They brainwashed the canines to believe that, that was the way of life. What fools these canines must of been. That, or the humans were just tricky and clever. In which case, made them even less trustworthy.
Today, would be yet another day of being alone it seemed. The sun set against the horizon over the calm ocean before his eyes. The large ebony German Shepherd remained in a rested position, laying upon the sand of the shore. Ears remained perked as his attention was alert as always. He hadn’t yet met those in the pack, but was sure in time they would amble along and they would come face to face. However, Mittel would not be the one out searching for them to introduce himself. They could do that on their own. Mittel had known a loner’s style of life for months since his mother’s death and had no plans on becoming a social canine. Yet if someone that was worthy of his attention, intelligence, and his time, he would give him that. So far, those he had met had been so light of the heart that he would simply make fun of them for his own amusement. That or he’d fight them and wound them horribly. Mittel hadn’t killed since his last human attack, but he did plan to kill again. Something about the taste of another’s blood sent shivers down his spine that be found enjoyable. Mittel was sick and twisted in his heart and his mind.
A sigh was issued, impatiently waiting for someone to come about or waiting for the acceptance that he’d be alone yet again for the night. The sun lowered more and more and the day drew closer to its end.

Frustration. It was the one word that seemed to bubble within the demoness' life lines, boiling over and oozing from her pores. Her aura was like a scalding steel wall that would scorch and pummel any who dared look at the bitch the wrong way today. Spring was like a devil in a disguise of beauty, warmth, and fresh scents. Why hadn't her mother named her "Spring"? It seemed rather fitting indeed. Lean muscles rolled fluidly under her silken, dove hued pelt as she silently finished the third circuit of the day. Just as she neared the dens for a dose of beauty sleep her nares were invaded by the stench of an outsider. Honey hued optics narrowed immediately, her tall auds falling back against the alphess' skull. The intended path was forgotten and the trail of the unknown brute was tracked. She had been pissed off before, but this had crossed the line. The energy sparking from Erida's soul could easily be mistaken for that of the devil himself, each step conjuring the fires of hell.
It didn't take long for the leggy female to cross over the horizon that had originally kept the shepherd from view. As he entered the doberman's vision a menacing snarl ripped from her chest and darting toward the stranger. It was hard to know if she was angered with his presence or perhaps with her pack for allowing him to slip through unnoticed. Charcoal lips slowly pulled back along her ivories flashing the sharp weapons to the intruder before a sharp bark was snapped toward him, "Who are you and what exactly do you think you are doing on my lands?"

Althought ears had been perked and in full attention, Mittel had neglected the aromas shifting through the atmopshere. As the female had slowly slipped forward she had been nearly inaudible, but her tone made her presence noticeable. The ebony German Shepherd rose from his place and pivoted, staring directly in the eyes of the opposing canine. He had no fear slinking through his embodiment so remained calm and collected, body stiff and showing no signs of cowardness. A sneer rose upon his lips and tail remained still behind his haunches. Hackles were unraised, also showing no sign of rebellion. This must be the pack leader of these lands, and if not she still probably had a higher rank than someone that was new. Despite the fact that Mittel could be rude and uncaring to others placing in the world, he knew when he had to hold back his pride and his nasty remarks and respect someone. Besides, she could be of use for information on the Metnal pack.
Finally his words found themselves and slid through his lips and into the brisk air of the evening, Your lands are they? And who exactly said this? Yourself? It was an inquiry after another. Mittel couldn't resist being a smartass at the moment so the words simply slid right passed his first consideration of being polite. A soft chuckle rattled his vocal cords and he tried again, I'm sure the respectful thing to do would be to tell you my name. However, in my opinion, it would be more polite of you to state your name first. Don't you think? Mittel couldn't control himself and continued to be a smartass. The sneer across his facade never faded away. His flanks motioned and he sat upon the sand that was warm from the day's over hanging sun. Thankfully, it was setting quite quickly upon the horizon and soon enough the darkness of night would blanket the island.
Eyes remained locked on the dame the entire time. He found no reason to look away for he felt this would show him as backing down, something he would not do. Mittel was tough on the inside and out and when another approached he would never turn away, even if their size was a lot larger than his own. The female appeared muscular and in shape, and if these were truly her lands then she could have her pack upon him within an instant. Despite Mittel's skill in fighting and his will to never back down, several canines upon him at once would surely defeat him. He may be a canine pumped up on ego and pride, but he wasn't completely dumb. No snaps or pull fledge bites towards the female, he'd just have to play with his words instead.

Music seemed to bounce around within her head as her nose touched the dry ground beneath her. Her posture, the expression on her face would automatically suggest to anyone around that this young Great Pyrenees had absolutely no idea where she was or where she was going. She gave the impression of a youthful, free spirited creature without a care in the world. Fun loving and peaceful. All of this was true. And the fact that she was in these lands made her seem completely out of place. A poor soul on her way to a almost certain death.
Fortunatly, the latter was not the case. She knew where she was. And she... kind of knew where she was going. But all in all, she had her mind set on one thing and one thing only. The trail she was following was that of one of her most beloved friends in the whole-wide-world!
Kiyoko stopped suddenly in her tracks, nose still to the ground, flapped ears trying their best to perk themselves on the top of her head. That noise... Could it be? Kiyoko listened even harder then in an instant, out of no where, took off. Her large frame lumbering along as fast as it could go, seeming very off balanced. Before she even spotted what she was looking for, she was calling out loudly. "Oh Erida, Erida! Oh, you'll never ever ever on anything in the world guess what I found! There was this puppy and this other doggie and thi-"
Her words, her movements, her breathing all stopped short when she saw the black doggie near Erida. She slid to a stop, rump resting on the ground before her body came to a halt. At first, she inspected this dog before her. And it took much too long for the realization to spread across her mind that this dog was a newcomer. No wonder she didn't know who he was right away! A smile formed on her face as her tongue lolled out, standing. Then Kiyoko proceeded to prance up to the new black doggie, giving him one hell of a slobber filled lick across his maw. "Oh hello there. I am Kiyoko, yes.", she finished her statement with a tight, fast nod... mostly to herself.

The lackadaisical attitude that embodied the shepherd simply turned the volume button skyward on her frustration levels. The lean muscles rippled beneath her sleek pelt as the fought her brain, urging her to lunge forward and simply tear the throat from the trespasser. It was lucky for her that control was something she had learned over the years. There would have been much waste of talent that had come upon these lands if she had not known to control herself. It seemed that the more arrogant they were the better they fit here with her little "family" of hellions.
Several deliberate steps were taken, slender limbs devouring the distance between the pair of canines bringing them nearly nose to nose. The sweet, warm breath that slowly....calmly....filtered from the male into the atmosphere seemed to flood her features in the closeness. Tensed radars stood alert upon her chiseled skull as her honey glazed pools locked upon his own optics. The snarl upon her pointed snout slowly transitioned into a demonic smirk, pale lips pulled tightly back in a crooked fashion. Her feminine crown fell off balance cocking to the side ever so slightly as she simply stared and listened to his blabber.
A bright, angelic giggle chimed as he began questioning her authority. "Offer you my name? You, my dear, must have crawled from a swamp if you do not know who I am or if you question my leadership." It was true, the queen was quite amused with this guest. The smirk grew into an arrogant grin, still laced with the sweet femininity that she so often portrayed. "I would be surprised if there were a soul upon this island that questioned me or who I am."
Just as she were going to refuse him her calling further and pry deeper her own form of game was interrupted by a heavy thumping followed by...her own name. Her attention never left the brute's features as optics narrowed in anger, the blood boiling through her veins nearly transparent through her gaze. A single aud twisted to land upon the large white dog that had plopped beside her. A low growl of frustration mentioning the mammoth by name slipped from between clenched fangs, "Kiyoko..." But before he could stop the innocent dog she was on top of the newcomer. Erida's chest rose and fell in a rapid rhythm in an attempt to control the outburst that was rolling within her gut. Attempting to not lunge for the fae. Could she keep her control?
