Although her eyes were tired, tears still poured out, flooding the floor around her. Her fluffy ears drooped sadly, her tail limp. It was always sad to know that a loved one had died, but the puppy felt depressed. Her entire family, gone in the snap of a human finger. She let out a soft whimper, tucked her nose under her paw, and drifted off into an uneasy sleep. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Fearlessly, the small terrier trotted along side the river that bordered her own territory. Today was a different day for Doidle. She wasn't patrolling just to be patrolling, wasn't looking for trouble. Today was a day that she was given orders by the Barzakh leader himself to make sure there was no one trespassing on Barzakh territory. He had just retrieved the prissy no-good pups days earlier and was afraid that Erida, stupid Metnal bitch, would come barging in with her pack of mindless minions to retrieve them. Being this far south of the Metnal border wasn't a stupid idea, Typhoon knew how cunning Erida could be, and it could be assumed that she could easily attack from the south, expecting to surprise the small pack of canines. Ha! Not on my watch!, Doidle thought bitterly.
Doidle was always alert, even in her sleep the small creature woke every 5 minutes at any sound that hit her auds. So when the far off howl pierced her ears, the terrier didn't stop moving. Changing direction, she went right for the sound. Ready to take on whatever idiot dare think about crossing her path. This is where things began to get normal again for the small canine... she was now looking for trouble.
After quite a treacherous journey, Doidle knew she had finally arrived at the area she was seeking. The stench of unknown canines filled her nostrils. Blood. Death. And a youngster. Doidle didn't pause, she was as fearless as any being on the island. She approached the carnage of murder, circling each body, snout to the ground, smelling her way around. A shrill growl rumbled around in her tiny chest as she caught the scent of a creature still alive, it had entered the cave nearby, and Doidle was now on a mission to see who or what exactly had done such lovely damage to these foolish souls. Without hesitation, small paws trotted up to the entrance of the cave and entered it, her brown orbs scanning the floor until they hit a small, yet still larger than herself, form curled up on the cave floor. Doidle let out an angry bark before the words came out jumbled together. Hey, 'ou! You did that, ya? Out there? Yous gots some nads there, how'd you like to come with me, eh?"
She spoke in an angry fashion that would suggest she was about to jump on the pup, but in reality, Doidle was quite impressed. She only assumed that the puppy had torn the lives apart outside of the cave, she sensed the blood on the pups nose. All of this made the small Barzakh warrior proud. Perhaps she could prove to be quite the asset to the Barzakh pack.

Stirring slightly, she opened her eyes a tiny fraction to see who it was who spoke to her. Her brain was still muddled and she couldn't understand a single word the stranger said. The stench of blood and the cold in the cave, reminded her of what happened. Before she could stop it, tears flowed freely again. It's only been a short while, but she already missed her parents and siblings dearly. Her already matted fur got wetter with tears. The poor puppy only knew one thing. And that was the fact that she's now all alone in this vast world, with no knowledge of survival on her own. Granted, she had gone hunting with her parents before, but that was also with her siblings. Now everything was gone and she started whimpering sadly. Windlash shook with trauma and cold. She retreated further into the cave, curling up even more, trying to make herself smaller, the stranger already forgotten. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

When it came to Barzakh, Doidle was about as fearsome as they got. Well, perhaps not on the outside, but her mind was always withering with bloodshed and anger. She still thought of herself as one of the good guys, that's for sure. But the sooner the island was rid of the creeps that stalked around Metnal territories, the better. If such a feat ever did happen, though, the poor terrier would be completely lost. She lived for violence against evil. Doidles orbs winced in anger as the young pup just... ignored her. No one ignored Doidle. Aside from the fact that Doidle thought she was the greatest thing that happened on this island, it was just too damn hard not to take notice of the small yapping figure. A shrill growl rumbled around in her chest as she quickly trotted up closer to the form, which had moved back even further into the cave. Doidle just couldn't be bothered with this and had no sympathy at all to give the fae.
When she reached the pups side again, Doidle circled her twice before her rump rested without hesitation right in front of the tan and white fae. Doidle noted the tears and quickly came to the conclusion that she had been a victim, not the killer. Fools! Every muscle in her tiny form was quivering from the energy coursing through them, begging her to run for miles and never stop. She sat there for a moment, shivering uncontrollably, before she started blurting out to the pup once again. "Hey, 'ou. I was talkin' to ya, you know. Imma reckonin' that yous alone now, so hows about it? Yous got my personal invitation to... whateva', join the ranks."
Doidle was completely clueless on how to approach the situation at hand, most of the time she would just bark orders left and right and expect them to be followed. But this youngin' had just gone through a terrible trauma. Typhoon would be much better suited to handle it, she thought, looking around nervously.
