Border Patrol wasn't something he usually considered a worthwhile duty. Now, though, it was crucial. Typhoon had just convinced two of his puppies to leave the Metnal lands and return with him, for a far better life. It was time to up the protection of his territory, and therefor, his family. Erida surely would have noticed by now the two young girls were missing from her ranks and now Typhoon was on edge, expecting her to barge in to Barzakh territories and... and that was the question, what would she do? She was capable of killing the pups for leaving, for sure. That was the worst case scenario. Typhoon was sure Erida thought him weak, he had not attacked her the last time they encountered one another despite the fact that she deserved it more than any other being on this island. Things were different now, though. He would fight the bitch to the death for the protection of his family.
Figuring that the two faes were safe with Doidle and the rest of the pack, Typhoon set off to make sure all the markers were still fresh to the scent. Normally, who passed through these lands mattered little. Paranoia was starting to engulf him now.
As he made his way down the river, a new scent hit him. Hairs raised along the back of his neck and spine as all movement stopped. His dark brown eyes were focused on nothing, for they were unimportant at the moment. What mattered was the scent... Female. Not Metnal. Young. Very young. Far younger than his own two female pups. Once he was sure the rest of the coast was clear, making sure that no other intruders tailed the puppy, Typhoon calmed. A parental intuition began to take over him, his features softened as a smile grew along his maw. When the young fae saw him, he wanted to be sure he looked as peaceful and friendly as possible. Scaring her would almost scare himself. His heart was much too large for his own good and now he was determined on finding and helping the young pup in whatever fashion possible.
"Hello?", was all that was given in a feeble attempt to draw the youngster out and to allow her the opportunity to realize she was no longer alone.

FrannieFran.
All alone in this big, big world as a new thing for a pup. Exspecially when they didn't know anything except being warm and full. That was the only thing this little girl knew, the pampered life of a six week old pup. She knew not how to hunt or fight, so if she was attacked she'd be as well as dead. She knew nothing about the hadships of life. And nothing of the life she was forced to leave behind.
Her father dropped her off here, and since then they had been living as nomads for as long as she could remember. One dark stormy night, Father went out to go do the daily hunting, ad never returned. She was certain he was dead, just like she was told about her mother. 'Oh, she's dead sweetheart' was all she was able to squeeze out and then the conversation would come to a close.
For all she knew he could've left.
She grew tired of waiting for him, and decided to curl up and fall asleep on the spot. If he were to come back, he wouldn't want to miss him.
Then, she was awoken to the sounds of someone calling out a softhearted, 'hello?'. It wasn't Ray, she even sked the python if it was him and got a confused look back. Who was it? "Heh- Hello??" She returned, in her squeaky, but a bit scratchy from not using it, inocent little voice.

The large brute stood there for what seemed like forever, waiting for a reply. Even though, when it came, he was entirely surprised. He half expected the youngster to keep quiet and hope that she wasn't found. Afterall, she was alone and there were many of creatures that could be lurking around waiting for their next meal to fall into their laps. Canines included. Feeling as if he didn't find her as soon as possible, he might be too late, the Rottweiler made deliberate strides to the area where the weak sound had came from. He slowed when he approached the mass of underbrush and trees, lowering his head to see within.
A look of concern swept over his features as he approached, then lowered himself to his stomach, if for no other reason than to be at her level. To appear far less threatening to the small form. "Are you lost, darling? Where are your parents?" His voice was deep yet soothing to the ear as he cooed at the small Shepherd mix. Deep, real, concern still was plastered on his face, his browns stitched together and a slight frown pulling at his maw. He could not and would not force the tiny pup out, but he would stay with her until she was safely in her parents embrace or back in his own headquarters.

Frannie looked up at him and almost soiled herself seeing him. It was a big, big dog. And he was going to eat her! "M-my parents? My mom died and my dad... Left." She replied sadly. Slowly, step after step, she tried to back away, only to find that there was a tree standing just behind her. "You aren't going to hurt me, are you?" She asked, unable to back up. The pup was scared, and no matter what this brute did she wouldn't be eased out easily. At least not until she knew he was a threat.
'It should be ok Frannie. He doesn't want to hurt you.' A snake came, slithering out of a small hole in a tree. He was a bit transparent, but for some reason, and Frannie knew this since she was still with her Father, that only she could see him. "You don't know that Ray..." She lightly woofed as he tail snugly was put in between her legs.

A warm smile lit up his features at the young faes question, he was slightly amused by it. "Oh, no. I'm afraid not. I don't eat things as pretty as you are." Typhoon rose from his downed position and scanned the area around them for any sign of her father. She looked as if she had been along for a while and was surely hungry. The thick blanket of ash on the ground was suffocating. Typhoon could feel it seeping into his body through his lungs. He knew he needed to get back to the caves that lined the ocean, but he couldn't leave the youngster here by herself. She was sure to die, whether it be from this sickening ash or a predator.
Finding no sign that another canine had been around his part of the river for some time, Typhoon quickly decided she needed to come back with him. The reassuring smile formed on his maw once more as he leaned his massive head next to the young mixed female. "Tell you what. Let's get you out of here, okay? Get that little tummy of yours filled up and get out of this awful weather." Raising his head and walking around the brush, Typhoon raised his leg and saturated the area surrounding the small form with urine. "..And. If your father comes looking for you, he'll know where you are. We'll leave him a trail to follow. Does that sound okay?" Finishing his circle, he faced the pup once more, waiting for her reply. He knew in his heart that her father would never come looking for her again. He was fair with his words to her, but in the end there was no way he was going to just leave her there.
