[bg=000000][atrb=width,471,true][atrb=border,0,true] The sky was unusually dark today as a thick, black cloud seemed to hang over the island. Despite it's dreary appearance the wolfess was quite pleased with the blocking of the sun for a change. Not only did today seem to fit her personality like a well constructed glove, but she would also receive some relief from the scorching heat it seemed. Her body wasn't built for this place, a thick ebony coat attracting and holding the heat within it's layers. Normally the fae would keep herself hidden in the shadows of the forest until night fall; today she took advantage of the atmosphere and strolled for a drink.
Lengthy limbs pulled her effortlessly across the forest's border emerging into the small clearing around the crystal clear lake. Her frame was relaxed, with only the occasional twitch of her hide to rid herself of pesky island insects. Auds stood guard upon her angular skull listening closely for the approach of others. She didn't care to be snuck up on, but appreciated company. She could always find use for them whether they were worth conversation or not. It didn't take long for the onyx form to reach the water's edge. Immediately her neck lowered the fae's crown within reach of the lake. With her nose nearly breaking the surface of the water dark burgundy orbs flashed wide scanning over the mirrored surface before her watching for any strange movements. Her gaze stayed focused as a long pink muscle slipped from her jaws and plunged into the refreshing liquid lapping her fill.
Mid drink something else began to splash into the water, droplets of rain began to dive within the pool sending ripples across its surface. At first a good few seconds were between drops, yet in moments it was a complete downpour, sheets of rain blinding her within a few feet. A sneer found itself across her maw as large black wings emerged from either of the wolfess' sides wrapping over her head to shield her from the rain. The thin skin between each long bone acting as an umbrella forcing the rains to wash to either side of her. Back upon her haunches she lowered, thick plume curling delicately lover front paws in a feline fashion. There she sat appreciating the storm.

The darkened mass that covered the entirety of the sky forced a scowl to form on the brutes maw as he glared at it much the same way he glared at the laboratory whenever he crossed it's path. There was something wrong with it, he could sense as much. This was no ordinary storm bringing no ordinary rain. As if he could frighten it away all on his own, a low growl rumbled around within his chest, his lips lifting to reveal the daggers hidden within. Erebos stood there for a moment, threatening the dark above him before his skull lowered even with his shoulders and he began walking. Occasionally, he would still glance up towards the sky as if he expected it to lash down upon him and swallow him whole.
The brutes face and chest were still covered with the small vulpines blood, the one he had encountered not too long ago on his way to this very area. He never thought for an instant that the tiny flailing body could hold such a mass quantity of the precious fluid. Having eased his anger at least for the moment, the wolf was in an unusually calm state. Dreamy, even. The events of the last few hours replaying in his mind. The images of it all would be enough to satisfy his hunger for violence for the next few days at least. He already knew that the pangs would eventually return and overtake his mind, but it was not something he would ever even consider bringing to a halt. It was a weakness he chose not to see in more sober states of mind.
When he reached the lake, the uneasiness of the atmosphere heightened to new extremes. A deep intake of breath after a mid-stride halt forced his nostrils to flair and the muscles near them to twitch ever so slightly, trying to not only pinpoint the greater disturbance but to also investigate it. Another wolf. Female. Lovely. Truth be known, Erebos despised domestics with every ounce of his body. They just didn't belong. A man-made creation, the humans way of playing god. They were completely unnatural. A monster to the earth and all it's more naturally evolved creatures. Being more at ease now, he didn't try to avoid the stares he knew would come. He knew he could control himself now, things were okay for the time being. Instead, he sought out the mysterious fae. When the first droplet hit him, his head shot upwards, glaring once again at the blackened sky. The rain was dirty. This is all he could realize, not knowing of the ash that thickly clouded the air above yet. Ignoring it, he focused his attentions once again ahead of him. Peering through the trees, he finally saw what he had been looking for. A wolfess was sat neatly near the bank of the lake. She was much darker than he, the gray that intertwined itself with his blacks could not be seen anywhere on her. What he didn't, or chose not to, see was the dark shadowy appendages sprouting from her as well as they did him. It wasn't until closer inspection that he noticed. A blank stare radiated from his cataract covered orbs before a sinister smirk slowly grew across his maw and he took his first un-silenced footsteps towards her.
"Well, well now. What 'av we here? If I wasn't so positively dumbfounded by the truth of our predicament, I might've assumed I were looking in a mirror." The words came out slowly, slithering their way to the faes auds. He approached her just as slowly, making a wide circle around her. His orbs looking up and down her body, then wings, taking in every inch. In normal situations, he would have approached another with a blank stare, showing no sign that he even saw them before him. But this was an entirely different situation indeed.

[bg=000000][atrb=width,471,true][atrb=border,0,true] Normally rains would be welcomed by the onyx wolfess, yet the dirty stench of this storm caused her nasal cavities to sting. Eyes narrowed, glaring out into the torrential downpour that had begun polluting the waters of the lake. It was as if one could see the poison landing and spreading throughout the pool, devouring each clean water particle in it's path. Pupils rolled toward the sky wondering if there were answers to why such a horrid thing would happen. What else could go wrong in a single creature's life? Despite the anger bubbling within her veins her features continued to stay smooth, not giving away her position on the situation at hand.
The sound of approaching paw steps broke her thought process, yet not her appearance. Her gaze lowered staring out over the lake just as when she first lowered herself into that same spot. The pace was unfamiliar, not one she had met before though she continued to search the catalog of memories. Soon the voice came, slow and smooth packaged nicely with darkness. The sound of it was enticing, grabbing the fae's attention before she even processed the words that the varying sounds created. A single brow elevated as she replayed the words over and over in her head attempting to decipher what exactly he meant. She was oddly comfortable with the male circling like a shark, and might have seen deaf and blind with such a lack of response to his presence up until this point. Just as his figure began to round in front of her twin pools of lava shifted, oozing over his frame and taking him all in.
She made note of the seemingly blind eyes and also the fact that he indeed had the gift of sight. Searching down his dark pelt until she reached the beautifully feathered appendages elegantly held at his sides. They were impressive, and there might of been a pang of jealousy. Why didn't she get the feathers instead of the bat's wings? Her gaze swiftly found his face once more only now her poisonous lyrics seeping into the air in the form of a single question, Predicament? She had not felt as if she were in any sort of situation that were unpleasant nor difficult. What on earth would he have been referring to? Allure was in actuality quite fond of her new found limbs. They made her different, which she appreciated. Until now of course. Suddenly this realization sent a course of heat surging through her body. She was no longer the only different one. Mixed feelings on what to appoint this brute began to fight within her. Would he be friend or foe?

The sinister smirk remained plastered on his maw as she looked him over. Her look was much different than of others he had crossed paths with, it wasn't one of curiosity or ridicule. It seemed mildly unimpressed to him, as if their 'kind' was something the fae happened upon. On the outside, his pale blue coloured orbs flicked up and down from the faes featherless appendages to her own eyes. Within, his mind had came to a sudden halt as he considered his last thought again. Perhaps there were more. They must be just as embarrassed as he, hiding away like they did. She was the first he had encountered. Perhaps she knew where more dwelt. Perhaps his ravishing could cease to exist when he was on more... common ground.
The brute hardly noticed the length in the time it took the fae to reply to him, lost in his own thoughts. He did, however, notice the venomous way the one uttered word slithered out. This only pleased him, though. But the mixing of confusion with his pleasure from what the question really meant to him forced an almost quizzical expression upon him. "Surely...?"
Predicament indeed. Why else would she have been lurking in the shadows all this time? As much as Erebos had roamed these lands, he had never once encountered her, the smirk grew back into its rightful place on Erebos' face. And she would be one he would be hard pressed to forget. As he studied her, a slight, bitter taste of pride seemed to ooze down the back of his throat. What did the fae have to be proud of? She was a deformity. A mutant. "My apologies. I could have only assumed by the way you must have been lurking around all this time. With good reason, I must say."
Although nothing could be seen within the cataract covered orbs, beneath it all, laughter danced and twinkled. He was pushing her, testing her patience. Just the same way he pushed and tested all faes. Luckily for this girl, it was for entirely different reasons.

[bg=000000][atrb=width,471,true][atrb=border,0,true] The fact that he would refer to their wings as a "predicament" was something new to her. How could anybody see them as anything but wonderful? It became obvious that he was referring to her prized possessions as his cataract filmed gaze made a pass over the appendages that shielded her head from the acidic rainfall. Already exotic shaped orbs began to narrow even more, until it seemed that daggers could have been tossed from the narrowed slits of crimson. The slightly damp fur along her narrow shoulder blades rose to attention, each nerve below her skin shimmying in agitation. Did he think she was a freak of sorts? Never did it cross her mind that he was indeed talking about himself as well. She was truly insulted that he would think such things. A quick inhale expanded her chest only to send the gasses out through her nares in the form of a snort, sending tiny droplets of rain water and mucus from them. Auds fell back in show of her displeasure before rising once more before that serpent's voice slithered from her maw, giving the impression that that pink muscle may indeed be forked, "Certainly not. Only fools make assumptions. I must say I quite like myself just the way I am."
A smirk finally traced the length of ebony lips as his mention of lurking in the shadows found their way to receptors. This part was correct. She lived her life in the shadows, and quite liked it there. It may seem very stereotypical of her, but she found it most thrilling when those alone in the darkness of the forest would look every which way. They usually would tell themselves that there was nothing to fear, everything that they've heard was a silly story. The look of horror on their faces when they saw the red eyes seemingly glowing from the darkness, and the winged beast of night stalking out from the trees was enough to send her into a state of bliss. Everybody wanted to be different, wanted to play a roll other then what was expected. But sometimes, what was expected was in actuality the least foreseen of all.
"Yes, I particularly enjoy the shadows in all truth." Large wings unfolded, stretching out to either side before folding neatly in their rightful place. Her rear rose to place her spine parallel to the earth, long slender limbs reaching closer to the the strange wolf. No personal space was allowed, a single sheet of paper would have trouble wedging itself between the tip of her nose and the thick fur of his neck. Bright orbs searched the seemingly blind ones of his, the smirk stretching further along her features. Her words were now offered in a mere whisper only audible by the pair, "The shadows are my playground, you should join me some time" Her emotions teetered in a variety of directions. She rather liked the dark male, yet was insulted at the same time by him. On another hand she was amused by his questioning and assumptions. If he thought her wings made her a freak of nature he may try to condemn her when he found out the extent of what was hidden behind that beautiful mask.

It might have been stemming from the lack of decent communication for far too long, but Erebos was thoroughly enjoying this fae. Even though the brute liked to believe he was separated from the pack, and indeed he was, the longing for communication much as you would see in a pack formation remained. Wolves were very sociable animals, after all. That was nothing he could control personally. It was a nice breath of relief to not feel the need to take control of any social situation, to force the other party into respect rather than awe. Respect, fear... what really was the difference, after all?
The agitation of the fae from his accusations was noted. She seemed pleased with their disability? How odd. "My assumptions are fairly well educated, I can assure you.", he replied, slightly elevating his appendages to merely reinforce his point. He watched her closely as she rose, almost in the same fashion that other canines seemed to look at him. Curiosity crossed his features. He was not in any way curious about the bat like wings that seemed to fit her so well, he was curious of her next move. Blank orbs still showed nothing within them, as they always would. Her voice was almost unbearably sweet to him and he considered what a lesser canine would do this close to such a intriguing beauty. They would probably feel the heat rising from their loins, into their stomachs, engulfing their being. Unfortunately, Erebos was not interested in such things. He took what he wanted. Even the slightest inclination of something being given to him was not something he even considered. He looked at her in the same fashion he had just moments before, no muscles tightened with her closeness, it was as if she wasn't even there. Things changed slightly when she mentioned the shadows, though. A sly smirk rose on his maw and he moved himself even closer yet to the fae, looking her in the eyes. "I know the shadows all too well myself, dear. But I often fall prey to my desires and reveal myself." He paused for just a moment. "To the complete dismay of those who brought me out." Normally, he chose to ignore this flaw in him and would most definitely never admit to it, but he didn't exactly say what his desires were. He never would. Not even to this intriguing fae. Erebos didn't dare move from her, as he thought doing so might show some form of weakness of him. Being this close to him, she was sure to have seen the darker pupils hidden under the cataracts and they moved back and forth between her own red orbs, the smirk still remaining. "Erebos", the last word he gave her. His name. He didn't explain it, expecting for her to understand completely what small gift he had given her.

A light giggle filled the air as his wings spread slightly from his sides and the words that accompanied them. Her feminine skull tilted in curiosity as she examined the appendages once more, feather by feather, "They're quite nice actually. I wish I had feathers too." Her eyes narrowed in thought as she found his seemingly blinded eyes once again, a demonic smirk spreading further along her features, "Don't quite like being different, hm?" It was the only possibility that the ebony wolfess could come up with to explain why he was so against the gifts that had been bestowed upon them.
To each was their own Allure supposed, even if she could not understand the reasoning behind the male's thought process. He was a strange character after all. Even more interesting to her than his view on their wings was the fact that not even a muscle twitched with her so close. This was not something she was use to. Part of the reason she enjoyed her new found limbs was the fact that it offered her even more attention then before. Strangely she appreciated the fact that he wasn't drooling all over her. At least she wouldn't have to go off cleaning herself from the putrid saliva that most males matted her precious coat with. The skin just above her nose wrinkled with disgust at the thought.
A glint of excitement touched lava filled eyes as he stepped closer at the mention of the shadows. A childish glow saturated her features as he began to speak, perked auds reaching forward to grasp onto each and every syllable. His mention of desire pulled her even further into his words as they seemingly wrapped themselves around her yanking the fae a step closer, "desires?" Her voice was but a mere whisper as she inquired about the word, the sound of anticipation flooding from her slender maw. Everybody had desires had they not? Any desire that was played from the darkness of the shadows had to be enjoyable no?
His name stung receptors as it was not quite what she would hope for next, a story ended early. A single brow elevated as she allowed gravity to push her haunches back onto the damp earth below. "Erebos," she paused allowing the name to ingrain itself within her mind, "oddly, it's quite a pleasure to meet you." It wasn't often that Allure enjoyed company unless they were suffering in some form or another. She held onto the silence for a moment before offering her own calling, "I am known as Allure to the few that live through their first encounter." She was bragging slightly, yet being strangely honest all at the same time.

The smirk remained plastered on his maw as the fae stepped an inch closer to the brute. They were so close now that he could almost hear her heart beating under the thick black plume of her pelt. If it weren't for his severed ties with eroticism with those who had control, he was sure that it would be raging at this very moment. His own mention of desire wasn't enough to bring about any feelings, but when the fae next to him brought the idea back into his conscience, his eyes widened ever so slightly and the smirk vanished for a split second as he tried to fight back the images of his latest kill and the previous domestic who had fallen prey to his will. He would not address the manner any further, afraid it might bring about the uncontrollable wants, afraid that he would feel the need to bound off away from this fae in search of his next victim. Swallowing the saliva that had quickly formed within his maw, he watched the beauty in front of him settle back upon her haunches. Although he had no lustful feelings for the wolfess, he was well aware of her attractiveness. Her bat-like appendages made her all that more... Alluring indeed, he imagined. Although he felt not the same about his own disability.
His orbs closed and opened slowly and deliberately as Erebos thought of the best way to approach the question she had asked before offering his name. "Being different isn't the problem, love. The problem lies with those who have trouble accepting the differences." The smirk returned, he didn't think on what happened to those that did not automatically accept. But he knew exactly what he was speaking of.
As the fae offered her own name, Erebos stopped to consider how fitting the name was for her. At least in the cases of most other canines, oh, how wicked she must be. The smirk immediately turned into a wicked grin, imagining her feeding her very own desires. Unlike Erebos, once again, she seemed pleased enough with her pastimes to mention them almost completely, bragging if you will. This was not something Erebos would ever do unless he was merely trying to instill fear into his next victim. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he was wrong to force himself on another and that was enough for him to keep his mouth shut. Toying about with this fae, with the idea, though... well, that came easier than he imagined. Perhaps it was because they were so alike in the sense. Judgment wouldn't come from her in such cases. "I'm sure the pleasure is all mine, Allure. Quite a fitting name, I must say." The brute rose from his own haunches and started to wards the fae again. "Believe me, sweetheart, I would love to hear more of your own tales, but I'm afraid you might awake a hunger within...", he paused next to her ear and whispered the last words gruffly into her aud before passing her and heading to wards the shoreline of the lake. "...and I might be forced to leave your lovely side." His head bent down to wards the water, giving the ebony fae a sidelong glance. "For a while anyway." He grinned at her for a moment before turning his skull and taking a deep drink from the waters, forcing back the distinctive hunger that was rising in his throat.

The very slight and quick changes upon the male's features were noted pulling a single furry brow toward the sky in interest. She could almost see the pool of liquid being fought back into the depths of his body as he swallowed it away. It was tempting to keep pushing the subject yet she simply wrapped that thick plume around dainty paws, auds focusing on the sound of his voice. Certainly there were many who found them oddities, and would simply shun them for being so different and unnatural. Yet the general population would stare and the little show off that she was enjoyed the attention. She felt more hostile feelings toward the ones that were not paying her any attention, quite opposite from the brute before her it seemed.
The mention of her name and how fitting it seemed to be was something she heard a million times, yet it still warmed her with pleasure. Any time another noted something positive about her, or at least positive in her mind, only fed that feminine beast. A knowing smile trickled across charcoal tiers without offering a single word of response. The canvas held it's pose as he approached, aud flickering to welcome the warm breath as it caressed her ear before more speech was offered. Hunger? That was the perfect way to describe it she supposed. Yet instead of being a necessity for the ebony wolfess her killings were for the sheer fun of it all. It was amusing to hear the wet muscle throb within her prey's chest.
Crimson orbs followed his movement toward the water's edge holding onto the silence just for a few moments longer before her voice began to slither it's way toward him, "Leave my side? That would be torturous. I wouldn't want to see another so closely like myself suffer in that way." The lyrics held a sarcastic feel, yet some truth was obviously laced within each syllable. Front limbs began to slide forward pushing her into a rest upon her underside in a completely comfortable state. Eyes narrowed slightly as she watched him take a drink from the refreshing liquid wondering exactly what it would be like to work as a pair in her games.

The sinister thoughts had long ago wrapped themselves tightly around his soul, a mere drink of water wasn't going to force them back. Usually a violent act could keep him content for quite a long time. The killing of the small fox mere hours before his meeting with this fae didn't seem to be doing the job. Perhaps it hadn't lasted as long as he needed it to. It was quick and clean, over. He tried to imagine the small creature struggling within his grasp, the piercing sound of her terror and pain. Closing his eyes tightly, he brought forth every detail of the encounter. When he opened his eyes again, he was dismayed to find that the violent need was still there, tapping away in his head. There was something about this wolfess that made him crazy, but he assumed she did the same to all males... just... not in the same sense. If it were possible, his orbs seemed even more glazed over than normal. He dreaded the violence before it happened, but relished it while in progress and held on to it until he needed to quench his lust once more.
Finally deciding to let go, he turned forcefully towards the fae, a smug smirk plastered on his maw. There was a fire behind those cataract covered orbs now as he stared directly at her, considering his options on what to do when he was finished with this one. He approached her with ease, never letting her eyes out of his vision until his skull passed over hers. Placing one large paw over her shoulders, standing over her, his head leaned down even with her own, pressing his cheek against hers. "I'm sure you understand suffering far too well yourself, wench.", he whispered gruffly to her. As he started to pull himself back from her again, he spoke once more. "Until next time..." Once his words finished, his skull was just above her head as he reached down and grasped the loose skin on the back of her neck with his jaws and pulled lightly, a low growl rumbling around in his chest.
Then he was gone. He released and ran quickly in the opposite direction searching for something to cure his diseased mind. Allure had left quite the effect on him and although his last actions with her were apparently quite sexual in nature, he felt nothing for her in that manner. A new friend, someone he could surely confide in. The snap of jaws around the skin on the nape of her neck was nothing more than a welcome into his lifestyle. And a short burst of release to sustain him until he found his next victim.
