Light footfalls were the only unnatural sound around as they padded through the array of boulders and small vegetation, stopping occasionally to allow their owner to breathe in the faint scents of other canines. All of which he already knew, all of which belonged here. But, honestly, who didn't belong in this pack? At least in 409s eyes, everyone belonged and everyone was welcome. This was a place for socialization and group hunting. There were no laws, no rules to abide by... and no Alpha. The black and white brutes mind floated over the possibilities that could arise from the small pack of friendly canines having no leader. Surely they could be taken advantage of, but even with a leader that was bound to happen. For now, they were just a small group of canines wandering around in land they deemed as their own. This, 409 did not agree with. All the lands should belong to everyone to enjoy, after all! And that was just his take on life, allow others the same opportunities and share whatever you happen to pass by on your journeys. Everyone within the Henka pack knew the Border Collie was all about sharing, mainly his powers for the sake of entertainment.
409 was unsure how long he had really been traveling what he thought was the whole of this Island. Looking for friends, canines to share everything he had to offer with. It seemed as though he had come up empty handed, though. Of course, he remembered all the faces and names, but none of them seemed to stick around for long or really seemed interested in any sort of friendships. Although this did not deter the strong-willed canine. He would continue his endless search until he found himself too old and too weak to move over the rough terrains.
Lost in a whirlwind of thoughts, the seemed distant. His orbs were glazed over from the long period of time he had gone without blinking. His tongue lolled out, moving from the rough pants that escaped his chest. This had been one hell of a journey this time, but the brutes breed held strong, he was totally focused on something and refused to let it go until he accomplished it.
When the light scent of something new hit him, he didn't stop to think about what it may be. A grin formed on his face as he turned mid-step and headed in the exact direction of where it was coming from. He blinked his eyes rapidly trying to release the dryness, his banner waving slowly in the air from his obvious excitement. This is what he had been looking for and the Border Collie was going to waste no time approaching and befriending this new canine. Caution was not a word known to this canine.

Oh his head hurt, it pounded and throbbed. The pain ebbing into his brain like a drill pounding deeper and deeper into the sidewalk. He had to keep moving though, he had to find Dakota. He was not nearly as alert has he had been.... he had decided to stop and attempt an ease drop on a couple of dogs, not that it was hard anyways, they had flooded his mind with unwanted thoughts and opinions.... he had tried to focus on the one who was in control of the other two. Doing so had left him with this blasted after affect. It was true, the pup was far from mastering his skills... hell they had only started acting up right before he decided to leave his torn family... he learned thing he never wanted to know... things he didn't care to know, things that had been haunting him in his dreams for the past couple of nights. They were secrets though, and not his.... he wouldn't tell a soul about it. He had plans to head back after he found his father to rescue his sister.... only time would tell if such a thing would happen.
Weakness spread through his limps, and he fell down... looking around him. The smell of pack was stronger than usual, but he wasn't sure if he had intruded upon their lands or not. Hopefully if he was an intruder he was safe here, maybe they wouldn't rip him to shreds. He was barely able to finish his last thought before darkness consumed his mind, sleep had won the battle with consciousness. He needed help learning about his power, but he was unsure if said help would ever really arise to save him. In his dream, the nightmare played out....horrid, frightening, only this time.... he saved her from Ryan. Guinness wouldn't be hurt again....
He jerked awake with a start, reality literally smacking him across the face as a headache, much smaller than the one from early, begin to throb again. His heart was beating fast with adrenaline and he wasn't entirely sure if it was just because the dream or something else. Then the sound of approach foot falls made him stand up, the hackles on the back of his neck had risen, distrust and discomfort driving him crazy at this moment. The four month old pup hadn't thought of what dangers could lie around here until this exact moment. Mentally he scanned the area, due to the headache though he could only sense that there was indeed one other dog out there.... fear nearly seized him as he stood there, but instead of letting it take over he allowed his vocals to release a rather puppy like tone, that was suppose to sound serious but the layers of fear could be heard easily. "What..... Who are you?" He stood there, his legs visibly shaking as he wondered if the other dog would announce his presence.

With his flowing banner waving with a interest in what he was coming upon, 409 stuck his nose to the ground and followed the trail that seemed to have been here for quite a while. The canine was still near, though, and for a moment the Border Collie wondered if something awful had happened to it. Still not able to see the young brute, 409 was almost spooked when he young voice rang out over the mountains. 409s head shot up from the ground, a pleasant look crossing his features. His eyes were winced from the enjoyment of it all and his tongue lolled out from the right side of his maw. The trotted up to the top of a small incline and stayed there for just a moment as he took in the puppy that was now mere yards from him. 409 instantly recognized the pained expression that had engraved itself on the young brutes features and 409s own expression reflected it. His brows stitching together as he tried to figure out the cause of the the white fluffs pain.
409, finally realizing that he must look quite threatening to the young form, relaxed his features back their normal blissful state as he trotted up to the other brute. "Well, then. Personally, I think you're much too young to be so worried. What's your story, kid?", the Henka Healer genuinely seemed interested in this new canine, and he very much was interested. He loved stories, no matter the size or greatness of them. And 409 knew that this story wouldn't be all that mundane in the end. When he reached the young male, first he sat on his haunches quickly as his rear paw reached up and scratched forcefully at the area behind his ear, his tongue lolling out as the pleasure of it all overtook him. When he finished, he laid down, facing the youngin', awaiting his reply with those typical focused Border Collie orbs.
