Being rather nimble the red female snaked her way along some bushes, her body sunken down as the scent grew stronger. "Careful, Niv.... Careful, now....," The speckled female said quietly to herself. She hid beneath the underbrush, seeing a rabbit right in the open. She crept quietly toward the white rabbit, staying low to the ground and taking as many babysteps as she could before being exposed to the Sunlight. She breathed quietly to the ground, having the breath vapor roll up toward her face from the heat. She took one final breath, and she ran into action.
"Hyah!" The rabbit quickly spun its little head toward the direction of the noise. There he saw Taboo, with her maw open and ready to kill. The rabbit hopped off away from it, and the chase began. It ran through and under the underbrush, but nothing could stop the large female. The rabbit jumped, Taboo jumped. The rabbit dove, Taboo dove. The rabbit turned, Niveda turned. With her pink tongue flapping from the side of her mouth, she thought to herself, "You are mine, now, you little rascal!"
The rabbit ran under another part of the underbrush, but this time, Niveda jumped over. The rabbit looked behind it and couldn't see anything. But as it turned it's head up, he saw the dogess. This time, she was too close for the rabbit to get away. With a single bite, she ended the rabbit's life, her dagger like canines tearing his muscle and bone at the nape of his neck. Letting it drop to the floor, the Tartarus female shook her fur out loosely, the beads of the rabbit's blood snaking down her chest and forelegs. There was almost no wind now, so she wasn't aware of anyone nearby, for now...

OOC: What's so funny?
Ghat was sulking, although this was not a particularly new or interesting phenomena since he'd been more or less constantly sulking for the past year or so. At present he was sulking through a forest, though there was nothing unusually new about this either since he'd discovered that the arboreal area of this damn island was something like ninety percent. Had he been born a wolf, he would have stealthy slinked, moving through the trees like a ghost, though as it was he was merely a bad-tempered human in a body he'd been shoe-horned into, so he adopted a slouch, which was an achievement in itself, credit where credit's due. Ahead, he saw the red dog, though he had no idea what breed. He'd hated dogs and only had anything to do with them out of sufference now, though he did notice this dog had killed something. Beggars couldn't be choosers and Ghat's stomach and lengths of intestines provided all the reasons he needed to strike up a conversation. He continued his slouch over, grinning nervously. "Hullo," He began, tentatively "you alright?" Couldn't hurt to at least try.

Niveda was done plucking her fur out before a voice came to her ears. Swinging her head in the source of the sound, a dark gray wolf with darker black patters along his face and maw. The way he moved, so easily as if he didn't know what stealth meant. This made her tilt her head to a side, confusing compelling those dark green eyes before she wagged her tail. He didn't seem of a bad sort at all, and she was sure he would be wiser then to do a blunt out attack, being able to see just about every ribcage of the poor brute with each breath he took.
"Yes I'm fine, but you obviously aren't" Niveda finally replied to him, leaning down, taking the rabbit, which was of a chunky weight and walked the last few paces up to the slightly smaller male. She dropped it at his feet, another smile gracing her red lips, both from the blood and her own fire blazed coat colors.
"Here, you need it more then me" With that the female backed up, showing and giving the male a comfortable space and sat down, letting him take his fill. One could say Niv was compassionate and she had soften after the explosion, but it was just her nature to aide someone, especially a male so thin as himself.

OOC: A whatnow?
Ghat's face lit up when the dog dropped the rabbit in front of him. His first instinct was to hug her, followed by a pang of irritation. He nodded and grinned wide all the same. "Thanks a bunch, man," He said and chewed through the rabbit. Best meal he'd had in a while (even if he had to eat it raw without even hands to hold it still), not least because he hadn't had to traipse after it for bloody miles. He didn't care what they said, hard work just made you tired when you ate. He hacked and swallowed. "You're a lifesaver, by the way," He continued through a blood spattered muzzle "Can't hunt to save my damn life," Oh he'd thought of scrounging before, but there was a finite number of animals he could scrounge off and from what he'd found, most lone wolves didn't take too kindly to begging.

Curiously the female watched him. He ate with voracious hunger, something that proved he hadn't eaten in a long time. She had to chuckle when he called her a life safer, even if she considered herself anything but one. Blinking softly, she leaned her left forepaw against her muzzle, nipping at her fur and grooming it taking off a few burs that wanted to stick to the backside of her limbs.
After licking her leg free of burs she glanced back to him, standing up and trotting around him curiously. "You don't know how to hunt.. hmm well why not?" She offered, her tone was soft and stoic, ears flicked back. Her mother always said its better to teach a fisherman how to fish, well in this case she gave him a fish and was now willing to help him. Well of course after she figured out why he didn't know. She stopped a bit of ways before him, her nose registering his scent as she leaned closer and sniffed at his forehead a little bit.

Ghat looked up, one eyebrow raised. "Shouldn't sniff, man, don't lick myself on principle," He warned He lay his head down a sighed. It was a legitimate question, fair enough, but it was close to a sore topic. "Malignancy, my dear, malignancy," He began "On account of me never having the opportunity to learn how to hunt on four legs," It wasn't a subject he would admit to liking, but secretly, he did enjoy winding out the story. A coupla times it'd been his meal ticket, guilt-tripping some poor dog into giving him that week's meal. Cruel, but necessary. Besides, he liked to think telling it earthed him and stopped him worrying if he was just a wolf with delusions. After all, he only had his word for it, and voicing what looked like facts helped remind him he might be right.

As he issued her a warning she simply cocked her large head to the side some, jaded eyes closing slowly before opening again. He was odd, that much was true, and now h would only coat himself even more into the oddballing as he spoke about not learning how to hunt in four legs. Now here and there she had heard about various dogs that were really humans mentally stuck in a canine formation, but she was one of the dogs that did not believe so.
"So let me get what your saying...? You were too lazy to do it yourself or.. your just not in the proper frame?" Slowly her right audit flicked back as she remained sitting near him, liver kissed nares narrowed to loosen her breaths as she talked. The way those hues looked over him, much like a very scientist trying to figure out what could of happened to an experiment gone horribly wrong. Tilting her head to the other side once more she loosened a small chuff form her breath, lips nickering as the wind passed under her gums.

Ghat bit his lip, carefully lining up the words in his head. "Ah, now... Um, I am lazy, yes, but..." He licked his lips nervously "you see, I was, I used to... ugh, damnit, once we were scientists, alright? We were doing great things, and then karma the damn alligator gets me for being in the wong place and the wrong time," Ghat sighed and gave the dog a rueful look. "Call it poetic justice, but I wasn't even in the dog-splicing area. It's not like was the one jamming electrodes into their damn brains...." Ghat took another bite out of the rabbit, chewing as if he had a personal vendetta against it. "So here am I, in a body god didn't give me and I'm suddenly expected to know what to do and how to do it. Friggin'...."
OOC: Whatever that is, but alright.
