Pelt/Hair color and length: Thick, white and blonde fur cover his narrow body. His tail fur is well around three to four inches long. His chest fur is about two inches, and everywhere else is half an inch to an inch, except for his legs, head, and muzzle.
Eye color: His left eye is blue, his right eye is a half blue, half brown.
Build: Than stands at about the usual height of a Japanese Akita, 26 inches at the shoulders. Narrow, muscular body, weighing about 70lbs.
Detailed Description: Thanatos has the usual wolfish appearance - inteligent, observant eyes, a narrow muscular build, large paws. His coat color consists of two colors - white and blonde. The blonde covers his head, darkens around the ears and back, and lightens around the tail. The very tip of his fluffy tail is white. Pretty much everywhere else on Than's body is white: Legs, chest, tummy, and face.
His eyes are colored pretty normally, for a wolf cross. The left eye is blue, the right eye is a mix of brown and blue. He stands at 26 inches tall at his shoulders, which is the expected height of a Japanese Akita. He weighs slightly less than the average Akita, about 70lbs. His weight suggests something other than Akita and wolf mixed with his blood, possibly lab or golden retriever.

History: Than was born on the west side of the island to parents he now doesn't remember(his mother was named Tondra, and his father was named Niyol). He was born in an empty box on the edge of the village, with four other siblings. The largest of the five, an all-black male named Ciar, the smallest, a tan-and-cream male called Hikaru, and the two brown, grey, and white twins, both females named Kepi and Neva. The pups and Tondra were found and taken in by a seemingly friendly family.
Luckily, Tondra was the Akita mix, so suspicions of wolf weren't really considered until Ciar started growing larger, looking more like a wolf, and howling. Eventually, the rest of the pups took up. Which is when the belts came out. At first, Tondra protected her pups with vicious snarls and snaps. The family quieted her with a few lashes and loud yells. After the pups themselves were "whipped into submission" the howlings ceased. Soon, the pups were given away and Tondra was thrown out. After being seperated from his siblings, mother, and father at six months, Than has not seen them.
The family he was given to were controling, loud, and abusive. Than was often beat for even moving wrong. He was banished outside, where he was lucky to get food from his humans. As he grew older, his hunting skills were polished with, at first, rats. Then rabbits were being caught. Eventually, mis-hunts were less frequent, though, with any dog or wolf, some days brought no food. Thanatos would have been happy with starvation if it meant not getting being, or even if he could just be ignored. Of course, though, the humans brought people over who would throw rocks and sticks at him. The humans should have seen it coming, really.
One day, Than got tired of it. He was finally through with being beaten with stones, sticks, and belts. The idiot humans couldn't even see it in his inteligent eyes when the oldest human male came out to beat him for something Than didn't know. Probably one of the human pups destroying shoes and blaming Than for it. As the human brute raised whatever was in his hand(Than wasn't paying attention to anything except his throat), the young dog - about a year and a half now - attacked. Needless to say, the human male was either dead or seriously wounded, and Than was gone. He broke through the fence and escaped into the western wilderness as a loner.
