Liddell Hill is a town situated next to a mountain. Yes, a mountain. The ironic placement of the town, coupled with the name, causes angst for the residents of the sizeable country town. Usually a fairly quiet town, lately things have been shaken up by a recent bout of horse thievery. Suspicions have been raised, but the culprit, or culprits as it may be, have not been caught yet. The town’s citizens are beginning to feel the stress from it, will people stop coming to live there because of it and cause Liddell’s thriving equestrian community to diminish, or will the culprits be caught and things return to normal?
Ash Tree Farm is the biggest and most successful equestrian centre found in Liddell Hill. Even though it has only been open for four years now, the barn is flourishing and has already made a name for itself in the equestrian community. Owned and run by newcomer Keely O’Dwyer, a young woman with not much known about her than she prefers to tell, will this growing barn be the next victim hit by the horse thieves?
Stoney Creek Ranch is a retreat located just outside of Liddell Hill, at the foot of the neighbouring mountain. Many people come here to get away for a while and relax, or to have the whole 'cowboy' experience. Recently inherited by Kate Boer, this may seem like the perfect place to be, but with several shady characters involved with the running of the ranch, is it destined to fail?
