The East and West portions of the island have finally been merged! Your characters are now free to explore the island however they wish.

September Activity Check has begun - Please post in the thread by October first.

A new pack has returned to the lowland regions of the island to claim what had been theirs for many years before the Extermination took place. The Satya Wolf Pack is being forced from the highlands because of the current winter conditions which has made it impossible for them to survive in the higher lands. Their intentions are unknown although is seems as if most of the wolves do not like the domestic canines. This pack needs to be filled with more wolves. The Alpha position in his pack is reserved until further notice.

West and East have finally began the introductions. Kynthia has made her way across the newly formed bridge across Vetis Canyon to meet the oh so lovable Erebos. Please do note that only these two characters know of there being two sides to the island at this point. Kynthia will bring news back to the western half of the island.

Please notice that all packs' lands have been merged into one category, and all free lands are now merged into another. With the meeting of the sides it seemed like it would be best to reorganize the boards to reflect the meeting.

Keep a look out for the OK for your characters to cross into the other side of the island and have freedom to roam.

A major event in Extermination history is about to unfold! A small volcano has just begun to erupt in the center of the island, located in the center of the canyon that divides the east and west portions of the island. Although lava does not touch the inhabited lands the entire island is being effected by ash cover and acid rains. Very soon one particular Western coyote will begin to investigate the situation and lead the discovery of the East. West and East will finally have their chance to meet!

Also, please note that we have several contests ending very soon! Please do participate! Now that this major shift in plot is occurring we do expect more activity, it's been really slow the last couple of weeks. Let's pick it up! Also, please do help with some advertising. Jenn has been hard at work trying to send out our ads and it would be great if she had some help!

I know I've been a little slow on the activity as well and I want to apologize for that. I've spent quite a bit of time with the new layout/skin. So now that it's pretty much all done I'm back in business :D. Other then that...nothing much to say! Now get to RPing *cracks whip*

The activity check has officially ended. Those who have not signed into their accounts since July 10, 2010 have been deleted, and all rosters, etc have been updated.

On a more fun note, if you haven't noticed (how could you miss it?!) we have ourselves a new skin and completely new layout. Please feel free to share any suggestions or concerns that you may have regarding the changes.

Also, there are a couple of nice little plots beginning! The Tartarus pack will soon be choosing an alpha. In addition, Typhoon and a couple of Barzakh members are currently beginning to cross into Metnal lands in search of Erida and Typhoon's pups. Keep an eye out for more plots as some major changes are right around the corner (we're talking days here people!!) Also please feel free to plot with each other in your diary boards!

There currently is an opening for some high ranking positions, as well as staff positions! Check out the announcements to locate the applications for both pack and staff positions if you are interested. We are currently seeking a Henka Alpha/Beta! We also need a training moderator and advertising moderator. Everybody is welcome to apply.

Welcome! Extermination is a semi-realistic canine role-play based on a tropical island. We welcome all levels of RP though do expect those who are newer to try their best and to improve with time. We are currently working on a “beginner’s section” for those new to Rping, or others who may want some tips. We pride ourselves on being a friendly group of people that are always willing to lend a hand to help others out.

The RP is based on a remote, tropical island, which is split into two sides by a canyon. The humans on the western half of the island was destroyed by a group of canines, while those on the east were killed in an explosion in the laboratory. At this time the East and West are not aware of each other, although this will all be changing shortly. Please do take a moment to review our on going plot to see if you think we may be a right fit for you!

After the volcanic eruption, the island of Diripio is experiencing the harshest winter any of the canines have ever seen. A lot of the prey isn't surviving these extreme changes and the search for food as become hard making a lot of canines thin and irritable. Breeding has been stumped, no canines are able to support feeding themselves let alone pups that could be sucking the life out of them. It has now been four years since the Extermination. With the help of a pack, most canines can enjoy the large amounts of snow for the first time in their lives.
