He was quite confused by her words. He sat there wondering what could possibly be going on in that head of hers. She soon dashed away into the trees. The femme didn't return right away as he expected she would. He sat up, brown orbs fixed on the trees before him. It was suddenly deathly silent, making a chill run down his spine as he strained his ears to pick up the slightest sound. The seconds felt like hours on his body as he itched to run in after her. His mind restricted that idea, keeping his body glued to the warm ground.
His gaze finally caught sight of her as she ran out of the trees. The brute watched as she reared up on her hind legs and tossed an object into the air. As it rolled towards him he looked down to see it was a stick. This made his tail wag quite quickly against the ground beneath him. The brute crouched down playfully, his bum high in the air with his tail wagging happily. His jaws were soon wrapped around the stick, his gaze locked on the femme. He was glad she had thought up somethine to do besides talk about painful memories.
When he was a pup they would aways go to the park and find a stray stick to play with. Sometimes it would just be him and his siblings tugging each other around with it, or his owners throwing it and having the pups chase after it. He remembered those good days where they would tackle each other in the field and just have a good old puppy time. Those were the days that he missed the most. Running through the field with the wind blowing in his face, the stick in his mouth as he evaded his brothers and sister.
The brute shook his head to rid it of those thoughts. He soon reared up on his hind legs and did his best to toss it back in her direction. The stick soared through the air and landed a couple feet away from the femme. He thought about bolting at her only to snatch the stick and run off with it in a teasing way, though he quickly pushed that thought aside. He didn't want to come off as too immature. Though Ishtar was the one who had though up the whole thing he didn't want to act like a pup.
Okay, maybe just a little.

She laughed, dashing at the stick and running in a circle. How the brush of the wind felt she could not describe. She ran towards the brute, dropping the stick on the ground in front of him and dashing a little ways away. She lited her hind quarters into the air, lowering her upper body playfully. A laugh escaped her vocals. It felt good to do something that was not sparked by painful memories.
Besudes, you need to work off that fat rabbit from this morning she laughed at herself. For a moment sadness crept into her eyes, that is the woman always said they were doing. But it didn't matter. This was play time. Time to just be her and run around.
Her massive clump of fur that was in reality a tail wagged wildly, as her eyes watched the brute, awaiting his next move.
Atleast he did not laugh at me, tell me how stupid I was being... she thought gratfully.

Her feet padded along the worn dirt trail leading towards the lake, making more sound than she really needed to. Thud. Thud. Thud. An expression of pure disgust crossed her face, almost bringing her muzzle to a deep snarl. There was no reason for her to be feeling this way. She hadn't come across any other canines all day. But this was typical Tsunami. Always disgusted with her surroundings. Nothing would ever please this large female.
As she neared the lake, the playful yips and shouts stopped the fae short. Playful? In Metnal? The snarl that was trying to escape earlier did now as she thought for an instant that there must be trespassers in the territory. She continued on in the direction of the voices, not quickening her pace. Staying at the same slow, steady, loud walk she had been all morning.
When Tsunami finally came trudging out from the foliage, a loud angry bark escaped her lungs. She had tried to hold it back, and her failure to do so even surprised Tsunami. She couldn't imagine what the other canines were thinking. "Just what do you two think you're doing out here? You're lucky Erida isn't here to see this foolishness!", she shouted at the two, her pace quickening until she reached their sides.
She didn't know who these two were. And that meant they didn't know who she was. So now was the perfect opportunity to fulfill some of her dream and act as if she had higher ranking over anyone. They didn't need to know that she was quite possibly the lowest ranking member of the pack.
