Butterbeer is Post Half Blood Prince and takes place along the time line of Deathly Hallows.
After the attack on Bill and Fleur's wedding, Harry and his friends are out hunting down the rest of the horcruxes while the rest of the world, The Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts included, are taken over and put under the control of Voldemort and his followers, the Death Eaters.
It's more than just the fight between Voldemort and Harry Potter...It's about evil and survival and loyalty. It's war, and hopefully it can end before the world completely falls apart under the rule and terrorism of the Dark Lord.
And hopefully it all doesn't tear apart our hero.
